Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Psalm 99

Psalm 99

1  The Lord reigns,
    let the nations tremble;
he sits enthroned between the cherubim,
    let the earth shake.

2  Great is the Lord in Zion;
    he is exalted over all the nations.

3  Let them praise your great and awesome name—
    he is holy.

4  The King is mighty, he loves justice—
    you have established equity;
in Jacob you have done
    what is just and right.

5  Exalt the Lord our God
    and worship at his footstool;
    he is holy.

6  Moses and Aaron were among his priests,
    Samuel was among those who called on his name;
they called on the Lord
    and he answered them.

7  He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud;
    they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.

8  Lord our God,
    you answered them;
you were to Israel a forgiving God,
    though you punished their misdeeds.[a]

9  Exalt the Lord our God
    and worship at his holy mountain,
    for the Lord our God is holy.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Twelve years ago today, I "left that other site" and joined Free Republic. For years, I thought it ironic that my FRanniversary Date is on Juneteenth. Now my FRanniversary has been made a Federal Holiday!

Although Juneteenth only commemorates the day that the last of the Freed Slaves were informed of their Emancipation, it had been celebrated by a number of Black Americans for decades. Texas in the Mid-Nineteenth Century was about as far away from Washington DC as you could get, and there were no cell phones, computers, or fax machines to bring the message of freedom.

Even though the Emancipation Proclamation had already FREED the Slaves on September 22, 1862, the Slaves in Texas didn't know it until June 19th, 1865. The Date has also been celebrated in The Black Community as "Jubilee" Day, which is a Biblical Reference to the 50 Year Sabbath of Sabbaths mandated in the Torah. And so, "Freedom" doesn't exist for you if you don't KNOW that you are free. And that ties in with my FRanniversary and "that other site" which I left.

The "other site" that I "left" was not a Left-Wing site. It was GOPUSA, which, at the time seemed to be conservative. I had a lot of friends there (some of whom are still in touch) but the administrator felt that I was a troublemaker. And so, when I said I didn't trust Romney, and dubbed the newly inaugurated alleged president "The Lyin' King", I was accused of "racism"! I defended myself, only to be chased and trolled from thread to thread until I finally just "left". After lurking a bit on FR, I realized that there was FREEDOM here that didn't exist "on that other site" and so I signed up. Suddenly, I was free to post my feelings about things, both religious and political. It was a sort of "jubilee" for me personally!

Now I certainly would not want to trivialize the difference between slavery and online censorship. The two are not even remotely similar in severity. The point I am making is that I had labored on that "other site" for YEARS, not knowing that FR was here since the mid-nineties and would welcome me. I was Free, but didn't know it. And, by not knowing I was Free, I was NOT.

God so loved the world that He sent his Only Begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believes upon Him, shall not perish, but have Eternal Life. (John 3:16). "Loved" and "Sent" are past tense. "Believes" is present tense. "Shall not perish" and "Eternal Life" are a Greek tense that means "ongoing into the future". Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!

Don't let a communications delay rob you of your FREEDOM. Today is the day of Jubilee!

FRanniversary Date is on Juneteenth... thus you were freed from the modern day duplicity of the slaver’s thought control.

Is it any wonder one can go thru an entire life enslaved by an ideology which is both at odds with Natural Law, and requires faith in untruth known to the thought slave? Now you are FRee you can FR-see and choose a path in harmony with Natural Law and God.

God is GoOD. FReewill can be the test of each of us alone to choose right from wrong.

My sincere apologizes for not commenting FRequently. My thanks and I think you should catalogue your works into a Divinity Set with annual volumes!
