A series of crisis has hit the American economy, above and beyond the covid-19 infections
and the effect of a national economic shut-down for quarantine purposes .
The situation could have been much worse, but we return to the Prepper motto of:
"Prepare for the worst, and hope (and pray) for the best".

We are, or have already recently experienced several crises, such as:
#1 exploding national debt levels , thanks to Federal government trying to restart the economy
#2 corporate debt leading to over-extended credit and increased corporate bankruptcy exposure
#3 lower standard of living, re-prioritizing income and postponing durable goods purchases
#4 growing homelessness crisis due to rising rent rates and buyers forced out of the market
#5 dramatic rise in crime rates , along with increased numbers of drug usage
#6 rising crime rates and reduced restoring order resulting from moral problems and increased police retirements
#7 urban filth encourages bug infestations, resulting in fewer inflow of tourist dollars
#8 drought and excessive heat affecting crop production and food exports, thus crop price rises
#9 water shortages and excessive heat affecting tourism, resulting in fewer tourist dollars and urban economic budget shuffling to compensate

This ain't the same country we grew up in.
Get over it, ..and adapt to the change, and prepare yourself and your family for the change in the national character and morality.
It doesn't mean that you have to adapt and accept the change, just the you prepare for the economic, social and cultural changes which seem inevitable.
Anticipate and prepare !

Always prepare for the worst, and pray for the best.

I’ll add that when things are uncertain, some people get really worried and stressed. It is sometimes quite helpful to ask “What is the worst that can happen”.

Then ask, How will I deal with that? When you know the worst, and how you can deal with it, it loses the fear factor, and allows you to be less stressed, and better able to be clear-headed and make good decisions as the situation unfolds.
