“Forgive us...” conditioned upon how “...we forgive those who sin against us.”
How is it that forgiveness could be both conditional, as this verse describes, and unconditional, as in “whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life”?
Run a topical search on passages about forgiveness, and see if you don’t find that some indicate forgiveness is unconditional, and some link forgiveness to some condition.

I can’t believe how stubborn you are against the literal words of Scripture. It shocks and depresses me. You are not arguing with me; you are arguing with God.

Not only does Jesus include the concept of conditional forgiveness in his model prayer (ref. v12), he reiterates it in vv.14 & 15 for emphasis.
Repeatedly Jesus teaches this concept:
“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

This isn’t a personal whim of mine; I’m tracking with Jesus, here.
There is an aspect of our forgiveness that we receive that is conditioned upon the forgiveness we extend to others, which would, by the way, include Adam and Eve.
Chessboard update, add the Biden admin removing Patriot and Thadd missile defense systems in the Middle East. This will embolden the Russians and Iranians all the more.
