Furthermore, there is absolutely no evidence that the ancient Mesopotamians ever associated Ishtar with rabbits in any way.

It is a German Protestant tradition with its origins in the late 1600s.

the Easter bunny first arrived in America in the 1700s with German immigrants who settled in Pennsylvania and transported their tradition of an egg-laying hare called “Osterhase” or “Oschter Haws.” Their children made nests in which this creature could lay its colored eggs. Eventually, the custom spread across the U.S. and the fabled rabbit’s Easter morning deliveries expanded to include chocolate and other types of candy and gifts, while decorated baskets replaced nests. Additionally, children often left out carrots for the bunny in case he got hungry from all his hopping.

Nah, that’s Ellen your proohetess, who was Satanic and claimed Jesus was the angel Michael, which is your Adventist belief.

Yeah, those wayward protesting Germans .. party animals.. Why on God’s green earth would Catholics take up a German ‘protestant’ tradition?

No more projecting ... as if Catholics do not celebrate quick like a bunny... remember, I am the one that said Easter was NEVER used by Peter/Paul nor Christ Himself ... I do not blame 'fish eyes' for reality of images ... It really is NOT a Christian act to point fingers of accusation when one actually participates in others traditions but carry on...

Btw, I just realized you would have no idea what a fish eye lens is. It's a distorted view oens that gives people a distorted view of reality.

you know, like your non Christian beliefs give you a distorted view of reality

Funny, from the onion.

However if you read your Adventist beliefs from your proohetess, Ellen, its funnier and really your beliefs.

“In 1844 [Christ] entered the second and last phase of His atoning ministry. It is a work of investigative judgement which is part of the ultimate disposition of all sin It also makes manifest who among the living are abiding in Christ, keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, and in Him, therefore, are ready for translation into His everlasting kingdom. This judgement vindicates the justice of God in saving those who believe in Jesus. It declares that those who have remained loyal to God shall receive the kingdom” (SDA’s Believe , p. 312

Don’t you believe in The events of 1844?

Adventist belief is that Jesus entered into the second compartment of the heavenly sanctuary for the first time on October 22, 1844, and began an investigative judgment. You believe that this judgment is the fulfillment of the second phase of Christ’s atoning work.

Nah, you’re mistaking it with you Adventists who believe that Jesus is the archangel Michael (who as per Daniel is one among many archangels, princes of angelic hosts)

So you will stop projectin? Good.

Catholics celebrate Pascha.

If your non Christian cult worships Istara, that’s your, Justmythoughts, problem.

The fact that you have a distorted view of christendom, of reality and of history, is your problem.

Furthermore, there is absolutely no evidence that the ancient Mesopotamians ever associated Ishtar with rabbits in any way. It is a German Protestant tradition with its origins in the late 1600s.

Wrong! Don't blame it on "Protestants" German or otherwise! You've been corrected on this before Cronos, it wasn't Ishtar but Eostre or Ostara and it was described by 8th century Bede as an Anglo-Saxon pagan observance LONG before there was a Reformation. The Catholic church DID replace it with the observance of Christ's resurrection - and plenty of Catholic churches today have Easter bunnies and Easter Egg Hunts.

Ēostre (Old English: *Ēastre [ˈæːɑstre],[1] Northumbrian dialect Ēastro,[2] Mercian dialect and West Saxon dialect (Old English) Ēostre [ˈeːostre];[3] Old High German: *Ôstara; Old Saxon *Āsteron) is a West Germanic spring goddess.[4][5] By way of the Germanic month bearing her name (Northumbrian: Ēosturmōnaþ; West Saxon: Ēastermōnaþ; Old High German: Ôstarmânoth), she is the namesake of the festival of Easter in some languages. Ēostre is attested solely by Bede in his 8th-century work The Reckoning of Time, where Bede states that during Ēosturmōnaþ (the equivalent of April), pagan Anglo-Saxons had held feasts in Ēostre's honour, but that this tradition had died out by his time, replaced by the Christian Paschal month, a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus.

By way of linguistic reconstruction, the matter of a goddess called *Austrō(n) in the Proto-Germanic language has been examined in detail since the foundation of Germanic philology in the 19th century by scholar Jacob Grimm and others. As the Germanic languages descend from Proto-Indo-European (PIE), historical linguists have traced the name to a Proto-Indo-European goddess of the dawn *H₂ewsṓs, from which descends the Common Germanic divinity at the origin of Ēostre and Ôstara. Additionally, scholars have linked the goddess's name to a variety of Germanic personal names, a series of location names (toponyms) in England, and, discovered in 1958, over 150 inscriptions from the 2nd century CE referring to the matronae Austriahenae.

Theories connecting Ēostre with records of Germanic Easter customs, including hares and eggs, have been proposed. Particularly prior to the discovery of the matronae Austriahenae and further developments in Indo-European studies, debate has occurred among some scholars about whether or not the goddess was an invention of Bede. Ēostre and Ostara are sometimes referenced in modern popular culture and are venerated in some forms of Germanic neopaganism.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%92ostre

But tell me why are you hijacking this thread about the Antichrist to argue about Easter???

Why is there mass confusion about who the anti-Christ literally is? Christ declared He has foretold all things..

People today are no different since the beginning..easily deceived ..
