His text messages say otherwise.
I hope she is right. His ministry meant a lot to me.
RE: His text messages say otherwise.
Was his phone hacked?
did you actually see the texts?
I have yet to see any evidence of his wrongdoing. The only thing I’ve seen are accusations and denouncements from a myriad of characters that seem to have their own agendas.
thank you Margie, you’re a good wife. you’re so right to defend your man, whom you knew best besides the Lord, because he’s never been in a position to defend himself from any of this. it’s the easiest for the enemy when they set you up and smear you after you pass on.
oh and just to confirm my original post from last dec when this broke, i have never believed a word of any of this setup and smear of a good Christian man.
You are welcome to your rose colored glasses, but even the organization thinks he is guilty.
Well I don’t care who ‘says’ he’s guilty...if he is then they are obligated to prove it.
They already did.
It’s not right to smear a man after he is dead.
It is not right to sin and not apologize.
exactly.
especially for a Christian, who should know that Ravi has already given account to the Lord. and there is absolutely no good reason for us second guess the Lord’s judgement at this point, and that it would be best to just shut our mouths in collective Christian humility and let the world crow and gossip to it’s black heart’s content.
Tearing down pillars of society for personal gain and political agendas. Disgusting.
Ravi was a GREAT MAN due to the Lord’s blessing.
We do not have the benefit of Ravi's side. All of this is suspect imho due to the fact that the accusations didn't come out until after he died, with the exception of the one gal who made a crap youtube declaring the Ravi ruined her life. There was some money she finally succeeded in obtaining. It's late so I'm fuzzy on the details but remember distinctly that there was a legitimate reason provided.
The report is suspect. Witnesses are not and will not be named. Why? In this country the accused has a right to face their accuser. oops, not possible because he's dead. There is a gap (per report)in the phone records; conveniently it was when Thompson's so called contact with him took place.
I remember when Kavanaugh (sp) was nominated; I remember the 'landslide' of accusers coming out of the woodwork. Funny how it ended up that there was no credible evidence ever produced.
For me, it takes more than unnamed witnesses, and vague reports declaring that 'they' confirmed the accusations. I'm not convinced either way but I'm not going to denigrate Ravi Zacharias as a result of published hearsay. As far as Christianity Today, it is my understanding they lean left so far me, they hold no credibility.
The 'mob' surfaced immediately upon the accusations. Rabid individuals from the evangelical community pontificating on his guilt upon hearing 'accusations' because you know, every woman must be believed. All the denouncements were made by self serving evangelicals. Again, imho.
I’d bet Tim Tebow was crushed, too...the interview with them was very meaningful...when I heard about this, it hit me, too. Tim really loved him like a brother.
What I’ve had a hard time reconciling is how can a man who spoke so powerfully for and about God have a completely opposite dark side? His organization did an investigation and they’ve concluded he was guilty. I read what they wrote about it, but at this point still haven’t seen any of the evidence, just what they and others have said.
If his phone was full of text messages and pictures, I hope his wife can have them thoroughly checked. Are they legitimate? When were they sent/downloaded? As of now she is defending her husband and his memory. Maybe she doesn’t really want to know? No matter the truth, we know humans can and do often fail, but God will never fail.
It’s just sad. Whether he had this other side or folks are denouncing on flimsy evidence, it just rips my heart out.
We all battle and struggle with something. God is merciful though. Jesus came in the flesh and experienced everything we experience, but remained sinless, so that He could sympathize with all our struggles with this sinful world, our flesh and the attacks of the evil one.
I pray it’s all not true.
His own church hired a law firm and investigators to figure this out after he died and all these suits came forth...
Their conclusion was guilty
For decades
