When U.S. Catholic bishops hold their next national meeting in June, they’ll be deciding whether to send a tougher-than-ever message to President Joe Biden and other Catholic politicians: Don’t receive Communion if you persist in public advocacy of abortion rights.
At issue is a document that will be prepared for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops by its Committee on Doctrine, with the aim of clarifying the church’s stance on an issue that has repeatedly vexed the bishops in recent decades. It’s taken on new urgency now, in the eyes of many bishops, because Biden — only the second Catholic president — is the first to hold that office while espousing clear-cut support for abortion rights.
Such a stance, by a public figure, is “a grave moral evil,” according to Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City, Kansas, who chairs the USCCB’s Committee on Pro-Life Activities and believes it’s necessary to publicly rebuke Biden on the issue.
“Because President Biden is Catholic, it presents a unique problem for us,” Naumann told The Associated Press. “It can create confusion. ... How can he say he’s a devout Catholic and he’s doing these things that are contrary to the church’s teaching?”

Why publicize what they are thinking about doing? Just do it. Although Francis would probably intervene.
Will they leave Pelosi untouched?
Abortion is of the world. “Love not the world and the things in it”
It’s not his “views” that is the problem.
It’s his presidential actions
“Taking” in this case isn’t as precise as “receiving” - and the key difference has to do with who’s in charge in the process (and it’s not Slow Joe, which means those bishops should be leaning on the clergy dispensing the sacrament, not the phony who is approaching the altar).
Wow, so not impressed. Why don’t they ex-communicate him and all those of his ilk? That goes for Protestant churches as well. Stop enabling evil!
I am not qualified to debate this but I have heard that immediately after conception the new life has all the dna and other elements and components of becoming a living human being. Old “science” used to be some time later this mass of tissue was on the way to being a human life.
Point was the baby already is a baby and should not be killed as being a pre-baby.
Source is Father Robert Spitzer, retired President of Gonzaga University and now a respected author. He once publicly debated Dr. Deepak Chopra about God.
For the bad example he is showing, he should be excommunicated. So should Nancy Pelosi and people in positions where they are leading people awry. Abortion is murder in the worst way. Those little ones just starting out are being deprived of life. Those who are favoring abortion are the lowest of the human race. If we object, consider how God will treat them when it comes to judgement. It gets awfully warm down there!
This puts it in simple terms:

I believe it is about protecting the Eucharist as well as not being complicit in debasing it
Why do they have to press Biden to stop taking Communion — can’t they just deny him Communion until he changes his mind on the sacredness of human life?
Not a chance.
Most Catholic bishops these days are liberal democrats who put the democrat party ahead of their religion. They sure not interested in saving souls.
Nope. It’s climate change and social justice fake and concerns about racism and condemning capitalism.
Really?
...I have heard that immediately after conception the new life has all the dna and other elements and components of becoming a living human being.
In the case of a human egg fertilized by a human sperm, it can only be a human being. It can never be a puppy, a goldfish, a bamboo plant or anything else.
Donald J. Trump is a better Catholic than most of the US bishops.
If they really want him to stop “taking Communion”, all they have to do is quit giving it to him.
From US Catholic bishops may press Biden to stop taking Communion
In accordance with existing USCCB policy, it would still leave decisions on withholding Communion up to individual bishops. In Biden’s case, the top prelates of the jurisdictions where he frequently worships — Bishop W. Francis Malooly of Wilmington, Delaware, and Cardinal Wilton Gregory of Washington, D.C. — have made clear that Biden is welcome to receive Communion at churches they oversee.
Just a bunch of francis' dictator-bishops doing their own thing.
