In February, the parish announced that it was withholding $100,000 per month from the archdiocese until Pfleger is returned to St. Sabina as pastor. The amount includes the archdiocesan income assessment on the parish of 10%, amounting to some $13,000 per month. The other withheld funds represent financial obligations to the archdiocese from the parish attached school, including property and liability insurance payments.

The decision to withhold the money was taken and announced by “the Cabinet and Leadership of the Faith Community of St. Sabina,” which appears to function as the parish council, led by Fr. Magwaza.

I have presumed Pfleger was corrupt and compromised since I first read about him back in 2007. He was on Obama’s side, and he (Pfleger) said a lot of nasty things about Hilary.
Not that she didn’t deserve it, but his conduct was inappropriate for a Man of the Cloth.

Why do catholics allow their little boys to be anywhere near a priest? I simply don’t get it. Parents like that should be charged with felony child endangerment.

The accusation, like so many, is from decades ago. Since the Charter, most parishes have rules where priests are not alone with children. Even confession is often now in the open. Child abuse is not a common occurence in the Church now.
