See his post #10.
Still curious?
Exactly WHAT about it do you think is wrong?
I agree with him 100-percent.
He said,
When men make the rules the rules can be changed by other men.
For the Catholics and their “church” to claim sole authority to speak for God is beyond preposterous. They are a law to themselves and deceive many.
I understand that entirely. It is plain language. English.
He's talking about those who deceive people and lead them down a path that leads to the lake of fire.
It's a warning.
Plain. Clear. Well-grounded in the Word of God.
You've heard it before. And ignored it.
You’re funny.
Thanks for the laugh.
Well, Ebb, I wish you’d made this one a Catholic Caucus thread.
There are some Christians whose faith is contaminated by hatred of the Church. That would be bad enough, but their every indictment is groundless, “upon misprision growing,” as the Bard wrote. This is both annoying and distracting, and speaking for myself, I’d just as soon not see another recitation of these errors.
Perhaps instead of indulging my irritation with these poor deluded souls, I’d do better to reflect on something else Shakespeare wrote:
The quality of mercy is not strain’d,
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath: it is twice blest;
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes:
‘Tis mightiest in the mightiest: it becomes
The throned monarch better than his crown;
His sceptre shows the force of temporal power,
The attribute to awe and majesty,
Wherein doth sit the dread and fear of kings;
But mercy is above this sceptred sway;
It is enthroned in the hearts of kings,
It is an attribute to God himself;
And earthly power doth then show likest God’s
When mercy seasons justice. Therefore, Jew,
Though justice be thy plea, consider this,
That, in the course of justice, none of us
Should see salvation: we do pray for mercy;
And that same prayer doth teach us all to render
The deeds of mercy.
“A deliberate mistranslation by the modernists. It wasn’t even a translation; it was a lie.”
Translation lends itself to such corruption, which is sufficient reason to preserve documents in Latin.
You use the word but I don't think you know what it means.
“You use the word but I don’t think you know what it means.”
Look up Dunning-Kruger effect, and see if you can do something about those delusions of adequacy.
LOL
Were you reclining when you first heard the diagnosis?
Sorry, I have strict limits on how much time I will waste on Dunning-Kruger patients, and I’ve reached it.
Don’t harm yourself.
Talk to someone first.
