You're assuming that means you. You've completely ignored 99% of the Bible and can't imagine that you've missed the boat.

If you knew the prophets, the ones spoken of in Rev 11, you would have learned that the the protection you speak of is a personal protection. Like the protection given to Job. The devil couldn't touch Job until he received permission to do so.

What you call the rapture happens after the wicked are dead. The people of God that are gathered, that were protected, are then taken up to meet Him. When Christ comes in great glory, He will open the heavens and the earth will behold Him. His glory is a physical brightness that will burn all corruption off the earth. Only those that have prepared themselves by following His commandments, repented, etc have the Holy Ghost with them sufficiently, can survive the event.

I know you're waiting for some great obvious sign.

I think a lot of people find it difficult to accept that the sign they are seeing is an actual sign. The enormity of it is too much. To believe that something that's been prophesied since the time of Adam is actually happening in front of you, is too much to accept. It's easier to be in denial and wait for the big obvious sign. Which is not faith by the way.

The ancient Jews thought that way. They couldn't see the forest for the trees.

The situation in the world is going to continue to escalate. Eventually, people will die off on a vast scale. It will hit them like a thief in the night.
