I'll just go ahead and drop this here:

A funny story about Aerosmith...

... So walking around to get a better view one of our entourage noticed the net/backboard was still in place. Well he said, "we can jump on to the structure and swing onto the floor." No seats on the floor, standing room only. So we did! I was second, hit the floor and disappeared into the crowd. Only the last guy got caught and they just returned him into the balcony. The next time I went to that arena (Blue Oyster Cult, I think?) they had raised the backboard up out of reach. Oh the memories...

Luke 5:

16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

They were unwilling or unable to dislodge their set-in-stone doctrine, because they'd never activated any Ingenuity, much less been familiar with Grace --

"It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission."

Actually attested since mid-19th century[1].

Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (9 December 1906 – 1 January 1992) was a U.S. Naval officer, and an early computer programmer. She was the developer of the first compiler for a computer programming language; at the end of her service she was the oldest serving officer in the United States Navy.

Funny. A couple of months ago I was looking up the background/meaning of this very song that you linked. The search results were predominantly loaded with "hits" for "worst song", e.g:

In August 2016, GQ magazine declared this song as the worst of all time, referring to it as "the most detested song in human history".

Somehow, its bad reputation links right up.

Grace? She passed away thirty years ago. ~ Aunt Bethany, in 1989

Luke 5

26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.

Speaking of Numbers (of being Hebrew "in the wilderness"), and Names...

"Son of man" (ben adam) = 97 = "time" (zman), the same as the length of time of the movie Christmas Vacation.

The phrase time heals all wounds may be first attributed to the Greek poet Menander, who lived around 300 B.C. and said, “Time is the healer of all necessary evils.” Geoffrey Chaucer’s poem, Troilus and Criseyde, written in the 1380s contains the phrase: “As tyme hem hurt, a tyme doth hem cure.”

Anyone catch that Perseverance ("Percy") is now actively seeking a place to give birth -- to Ingenuity ("Ginny"), on Mars?

It's a virgin birth!

The deployment process consists of several steps to deliver the helicopter to the Martian surface.

First, the cover protecting Ingenuity will be jettisoned, and Perseverance will drive away. Then, the first connections to the helicopter will be cut, and two of its landing legs will be deployed – rotating it away from the belly of the rover. It will then be rotated to a fully upright position under the rover, where its final two legs will be deployed.

Perseverance will then drop Ingenuity onto the surface, and drive away to a safe distance.

"Ginny" = the nickname for Virginia.

Who ever heard of such a thing? It's like that scene in Pillow Talk. Remember when Brad Allen ducked into the obstetrician's office?

A man said he was going to have a baby and you let him go?

He was obviously a psychopath.

- And if he wasn't?

- But Dr. Maxwell.

Miss Resnik, medical science still has many unknowns to explore.

(Jews in Space -- how's that for full circle?!)

Full circle -- it's a sign when it "somehow" just happens over a broad area of space and time, without any human plotting a set travel itinerary --

Exodus 3:12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

EGYPT - it's a metaphor for the severe bondage of the mind, soul, and spirit.

One of those letters does not belong in EGYPT. It's an association riddle -- to figure out which letter does not belong, and... why.

(Just more in the "full circle" department.)

E - G - Y - P - T

There's an odd one out..

I actually met Admiral Grace Hopper as a midshipman at USNA in the very early eighties. She was giving a lecture on computer technology of the day. At the beginning of the lecture she passed out ~10” cuts of bell wire to all the attendees and proceeded to explain that in computing (at the time) performance and function were measured in nanoseconds, numbers that most people couldn’t grasp or visualize. But in one nanosecond, light (and electrons in circuits) travels about 10”. So now we had a reference of what a nanosecond was. That simple explanation stuck with me for the last 40 years. Today, we measure computer performance in picoseconds (1/1000 of a nanosecond).

I'm prolly the only person on the planet who did not follow Aerosmith.

However, American Pickers found the original *Aerosmith Van.* an interesting episode.
