LGBT charity Stonewall: Herefordshire Catholic school's sex and relationships lessons 'damaging' {traditional Catholic understanding is "misinformation"}

A school's sex and relationships programme which teaches that LGBT people cannot marry or have sex has been criticised as "wholly damaging".

A Fertile Heart is being taught at St Mary's Roman Catholic High School in Herefordshire through the Archdiocese of Cardiff.

LGBT charity Stonewall said it was "upsetting" to see "misinformation" still being taught.

The archdiocese said lessons were based on the Catholic understanding of life.

The programme was criticised earlier this week by Herefordshire Council who said it was "at odds" with encouraging children to respect differences.

As well as its stance on gay marriage, the programme also teaches that contraception is wrong, and men are "created to initiate sexual relationships" while women are "receiver-responders".

Chris Hyde, an LGBT activist from Hereford, said the programme was "wholly damaging not only for LGBTQIA [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and/or questioning, intersex, and asexual and/or ally] young people, but those around them too".

..."We need positive teaching that reflects modern life," Mr Hyde said.

"I'm sure the school can find a way to honour their religious beliefs, keep the parents happy and not continue a cycle of hatred towards women and LGBTQIA people.

>>..”We need positive teaching that reflects modern life,” Mr Hyde said.

The Sex POSITIVE agenda seeks to end ALL moral judgments over sexual pairings of ANY kind regardless of sex, age, marital status, number, relation, or species of partner(s).

They see abstinence as an unhealthy repression of sexual desires.

Know your enemy. These folks are anti-theist. They do not advocate freedoms. They are fundamentalists forcing their worldview on eveyone else.

When Paul wrote of those who cannot enter the Kingdom he immediately follows it up with “and such were some of you”.

I believe beyond saying they should repent of their sins the perverts may find it more offensive the suggestion that they can and no longer be homosexual.

Unlike most sins people seem to wrap their whole sense of self up with these perversions. When we tell them they need to repent they may hear us demand they give up their very identity. This was not necessarily the case in days gone by but as Satan seems to be moving his pawns into place he seems determined to cut off any chance of them repenting and escaping him, even though all in theory could.
