I don't disagree with anything in the article. The author is apparently using a stream of consciousness approach. I guess he is saying everything conservatives stand for drives liberals mad. Having dealt with libs and mods for decades in local politics, I see the Rat/Rino swarm in two categories:
- Their leaders are expert at gaining power by manipulating their followers. In many cases, they could not care less about anything but power.
- The followers are led by the nose, primarily, due to their inability to keep emotions from overruling reasoning.

Soon, and just before the tribulation period, the rapture of the church will take place. It will happen without warning – one day, you will be working, and you or your coworker will disappear, and one of you will be left behind to endure the cleansing that will take place.
There's a couple truisms about people in modern Christianity.
1. They are never wrong.
2. They only create scenarios in their minds about God are where they are never left out, no matter what.
3. Only the other guy goes to hell.
4. They only accept beliefs that conclude they never have to actually do anything.
5. The way they treat other people is always justified.
6. They only believe what is acceptable, not what is true.
7. Avoid any scripture that doesn't support #1 - 6.
I've come to the conclusion that the majority of people claiming to be "godly" don't actually believe any of this is real. But, they are hedging their bets in case it turns out to be real.
Could the children of Israel have escaped Egypt without Moses? Could anyone have escaped the great flood without Noah? Could anyone have escaped Sodom without Abraham? Could Nineveh have escaped destruction without Jonah? So why do you think you'll escape the coming destruction without the two prophets God has promised to send? See items #1-7
Why do you think they are being sent? To lead the people of God out from among the wicked. It's real and it's happening. That's what you've mistakenly called the rapture. Those that aren't part of steps #1-7 are lead to the prophets. But it requires true humility before the Lord asking to be lead there. Then you have to accept the answer you're given.
Meeting the Savior in the air with all holy angels doesn't happen until after the wicked have been removed from the earth. Because for those people the test is over. The Lord is keeping those who have kept His commandments, endured to the end in faith in Him, and done the works of His Father.

If you would anger a conservative, tell him a lie.
If you would anger a liberal, tell him the truth.

It's a short drive.
Nothing less than a guarantee to able to live indefinitely at the state's expense will satisfy them.

How much of the bad future outlook is BECAUSE a sizable portion of Christians think they are going to “fly away” from the times of trouble?
I don’t want to pick a fight, but dang people, we need all hands on deck and fully engaged.

Your comment makes no sense.
We are engaged and will be until we are taken away.
And there is precedent for God removing His own before bringing judgment on the unrepentant, unbelieving world.
Even in Egypt, God made distinction between the Israelites and the Egyptians for most of the plagues.

last paragraph of posting:
When I hear a Christian say, “I just want to be taken away from it all,” I wonder what would happen if that desire was granted? Without Holy Spirit-filled people doing what they’ve been called to do, our country will most certainly fall apart from the unsustainable weight of sin and iniquity in it and its governance – something that will ultimately happen during the rapture of the church.
My comment:
How much of the bad future outlook is BECAUSE a sizable portion of Christians think they are going to “fly away” from the times of trouble?
A good example would be a Football team losing a game, yet sitting on the bench talking about going to the dance. Guess which side is not coming back to win?
Pre-Trib rapture Christians are planning to be flown out before things get really bad. How hard are they really fighting?
My point is clear, believing in a supernatural snatchus-off-this-planet-it’s-gettin’-ruff, is bad for society, the believers and America.
I have faith that Christ is coming back, but I live like it will happen when we least expect it. So I don’t quit my job which is keeping government honest and working on protecting us from what is now in power in DC and Chyna.

Your thought processes make no sense and I have never met anyone who thinks the way you wish they did.
Hypotheticals are terrible things to try to build an argument on.

Nearly all of the bad future outlook is due to the 19th century philosophy of pre tribulation rapture.
