For decades, against all obvious evidence, we were told blacks & hispanics were culturally conservative, due to religious beliefs, & therefore naturally should be sold on conservative political beliefs. Wrong.
They are deeply religious. And in many ways more socially conservative than most Republicans.
But they will vote for the group that gives them more benefits and power.
Same way many “prolife” Roman Catholics will pull the lever for the infanticide party every time. Culturally, it is what they should do.
