Who ?
Good stuff and also a reminder that it’s futile to claim moral high ground over Catholics.
Not hard.
Any Christian who is living under the law is subject to being dominated by sin and their accompanying condemnation will keep many from hiding it. The law STRENGTHENS sin (1 Cor 15:56).
There is only one answer to victory over sin and living a victorious Christian life: THE GOSPEL OF THE GRACE OF CHRIST unadulterated with the law.
We are NOT under the law (Romans 6:14).
Ask Bumbble Humbler. He knows everything.
“The Christian Today” is a Leftist publication obsessed with accusations against a pastor who is not available to defend himself.
They are also anti-Trump, and pro-coup and concerned about “US white evangelical extremism.”
There have been a lot of similar posts on FR regarding Ravi Zacharias, and the motivation is suspect.
On second thought: this is a poorly laid out article. The writer dismisses the plight of silenced and shamed victims too readily and is normalizing the sins in question — which are deviant and predatory in nature. Not mere lapses of judgment or of infidelity.
Jesus Christ is Lord. All fall short of His glory. Hence, His sacrifice on the cross.
Reason? Invasion
The next wave. Axis Mundi. Prophesy Watch.
How am I reacting to it? The man is not here to defend himself and confront his accuser, whose every accusation is being accepted as truth, without question or proof. Why? Because we must always believe the female “victim”. Because women don’t lie about this kind of thing? We know they do.
So, I remain very skeptical and appalled at what I am seeing and reading.
God knows the truth and it is God’s right to treat Zacharias as he deserves.
Christian here: I have no idea who this dude is. Though evidently he’s dead so he’s not here to defend which is rather unfortunate.
There is something that always struck me about Ravi when he really got going is that his voice would take on an ardent pleading quality, sometimes almost seeming as if he might start crying ... could it be that he knew the need for grace for others because he knew the need for grace for himself?
That doesn’t mean if he did those things it was somehow simply okay, grace which deals with sin is a grace that is about what Christ has done and not what we have done, about who He is and not who we are.
I cannot cast stones. Lust has been my problem too (remember what Christ said, to look on a woman and lust after her is already the sin), having been exposed to porn at a young age, but that does not disqualify me from grace ... not calling on Christ while there was still opportunity, resisting the call to salvation till it is too late does that.
Yes, womanizing is bad, there may be loss of reward which is pretty darned serious if you’re taking the new earth and heaven seriously. But if because of grace you are saved there is a huge difference between a potential loss of reward or having an unconfessed sin exposed later at the judgment (the good one, the one the saints are in) and the plight of those who find themselves in the second judgment that ends in the LoF.
Then I found a couple of videos by men who, I suppose, have online ministries, that claimed we must believe the victims, which are apparently coming out of the woodwork now that Zacharias is dead. etc And they are so very angry and disappointed and ... But there's nothing I found that substantiates/supports the allegations; nothing that couldn't be explained away.
I'm sorry, I just have a very difficult time believing all the accusations without some kind of proof aside from 'victims' and a supposedly independent investigative firm allegations.
I watched some of the confirmation hearings for Kavenaugh (sp) and this situation reminds me how lies can be produced quickly with the goal of destroying.
I listened to Ravi Zacharias for years and gave to his ministry. No single voice out there did a better job at apologetics than he. I'm not saying that he didn't do these things, but I'm not convinced either.
First of all most of us have never heard of this guy
Second when someone falls from grace you just say “I forgive them “
as Jesus forgives us for our sins
All you control in your own life on this planet is your own words and actions
If it takes that long, IMO ... it's contrived and a lot of time must be spent educating the reader INTO the "scandal"
Ravi Zacharias was a well known and extremely effective apologist and if there was anything there, Satan would have exposed it LONG ago.
Instead, it all comes out after his death.
Look what Satan did to President Trump.
(In as much as we) refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the (true) knowledge of God; and we lead every thought captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Annointed One).
2 Corinthians 10:5 The Passion Translation
For as he (a person) thinks in his heart, so is he..Pro 23:7
Romans 8:5 flesh-unholy desires; spirit-seek to gratify The Holy Spirit
I am just learning this deeply in my late 60’s. Spirit, Soul and Body is a great teaching. (Buy Andrew Womack’s book for the study. I don’t gravitate to all his teachings but this one has been profound to my spirit!) There is sin and then there is iniquity.
Refresh my memory...isn’t he dead?
Why believe a few sluts who wait for a guy to die and can’t defend himself? I smell a lawsuit againt his estate. Produce some sort of evidence.
He’s dead, Jim!
Don’t believe I’ll participate in a “Cadaver Synod”
MESSAGE - the perversion of the gospel of the grace of God
MONEY - the temptation of riches, the "filthy lucre" Paul warned about
MAIDENS - the temptation of lust, sexual pleasure outside of marriage often from adoring followers that feed the ego
Truth.
Unless they are Democrats; they are morally perfect all by themselves.
