144,000 God-sealed Jewish virgins, Two OT prophets, and an Angel messenger. The Church will be outta here.
I’m so damn confused, I just don’t care anymore.
I agree. . .the wrath of God in Revelation is not the same as persecution. We have not experienced the persecution that other believers in Christ in other countries have; however, we are seeing subtle forms of it becoming incrementally more apparent in America.
He’s referring to the Tribulation.
When that happens is up for conjecture. We’re not appointed to The Wrath of God - only the heathens are.
Oh sorry to burst your bubble dude.
These threads aren’t for the weak.
But your type was talked about long ago. Nut cases and all who scoff. ;)
LOL!
2 Peter 3:3
See you in the clouds bro!
All of the early church “fathers” (loose definition there) believed in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture.
Look it up starting with Irenaeus.
Same here!
;)
Doing research and actually reading the Bible takes time.
I don’t have patience to do with the impulsive and impatient.
The Truth is worth the time.
What makes anybody special?
What made Noah special?
What made Lot special?
Enoch?
Elijah?
They were all whisked away and spared wrath.
There is a crown awaiting those who long and yearn for the Appearing of Christ - can’t wait for mine!
Correct!
Scripture backs up both points as well!
A lot of folks love to mischaracterize and project with their posts.
I’ve become used to it on this site sadly.
“The persecutions you anticipate are not The Wrath of God, a wrath that is the hallmark of The Tribulation years. When the Lamb opens that first of seven seals in the scroll, the rider on the white horse carrying a bow with no arrows activates the wrath of God upon the unbelievers. I anticipate that wrath to fall upon those who survive the chaos / catastrophe which results from God removing tens of millions from our population here in America. You won’t want to be here to see that hellish environment, so get born again now. Don’t wait.”
Ah, then we will ss you too in the clouds?
Same crowd who’s preaching it now.
So you aren’t familiar with the Revelation then. Oh well
In the midst of Tribulation there is a revival among the Jews out of which 144,000 greatly anointed Messianic evangelists emerge to minister to the Jews.
They become part of The Church, which already exists among the Jews, preaching to them the eternal gospel at this very hour. That doesn’t detract at all from the fiery anointing of these converts, but it’s not as if Christ has two Brides; these new ministers join a centuries-long work-in-progress as crowning jewels of the Last Days.
During the time of Jacob’s Trouble, the same Church that’s been preaching to them all along will be preaching to them still, with these newly-saved 144,000 spearheading a great revival in the Land.
The Word of God tells me that He, God, removes The Church (the Body of Christ made up of all Believers since Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost), BEFORE He begins to pour out His wrath on the unbelievers who rejected so precious a Grace as the substitution of His Son for their sin nature.
So I do not agree with your religion's proposition. And I am still convinced that the four and twenty elders in Rev 4&5 represent to John the Body of Christ Believers, the Redeemed.
“The Word of God tells me that He, God, removes The Church ... BEFORE He begins to pour out His wrath on the unbelievers...”
We agree about this, just not as to how it happens. I think there’s STARK clarity in the account of the two successive harvests in Rev. 14, which is AFTER the several judgments of the Seals and Trumpets, but BEFORE the outpouring of the Bowls of Wrath.
Verses 14-16 speak of a harvest where “one like a son of man” (Jesus) sitting upon a cloud reaps his harevst (The Church).
Verses 17-20 follow immediately with the description of a harvest of grapes that are appointed to wrath.
The immediacy of the two events fully comports with 2 Thes. 2 where The Coming of Jesus and our Gathering to Him are described as proximate components of a singular Day of The Lord. He comes, gathers, then pours out wrath, and it’s Isaiah 63:1-6 and all the rest into the winepress down to the last stubborn unrepentant soul.
If, as I once believed, the Gathering and Jesus’ Coming are not proximate events, that requires quite a bit of extra gandy dancing around scriptures like 2 Thess. 2 and I can buy into ask that contrivance when the plainest, most literal meaning isn’t nonsensical. A “straight” read of 2 Thess. 2 is quite frank and sensible, and I’ve got no scriptural basis to try to make it be otherwise.
The Tribulation starts with Jesus in Heaven opening or breaking the first seal of the seven sealed scroll. Your interpretation kicks in at the sixth seal, when the pagans realize the wrath of God (the orge) has arrived / has been happening (in the Greek using an arest indicative verb). We can discuss it further on the way up ...
