God lives and Jesus is the Christ. I believe the prophesies are real. And if they are real and if these are the last days, you have to be able to draw real world comparisons to the visions seen by the prophets.
Reading the Revelation of John I've had some interesting thoughts come to my mind and I want to share them with who ever will listen.
I was drawn to Revelation 18 and John's description of a Great City and it's sudden destruction. Once you make the real world connection it all seems to fall into place.
John describes the city as such:
Rev 18
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
So in this city, all the commodities of the world are traded. The lust for wealth is so great that even the souls of men are traded. This city is so great that John refers to it as mighty! The kings of the earth are tied into this great city. The merchants of the earth have grown rich from her.
It's a city with a great port and sea trade is conducted there (Rev 18:17). The merchants will proclaim, "What city is like unto this great city!" Have you figured it out yet?
It's not only a city of great wealth but a city of art and music.
22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters,
What city did John see? What great city trades in commodities and is tied to all the finacial systems of the world? Which city has a great harbor and has a vast sea trade? Which city do the worlds elites continue to get rich to the point of selling their souls? Which city is known for it's art and music? Which city is like no other?
Well... it's New York City. John is describing the NYSE where everything on earth is traded and all other financial markets are lead from. The vast NY harbor.
And NYC has stated that conservatives (or the people of God) aren't welcome there. It has become Sodom.
God's judement on the city will be swift.
Rev 18:
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
What fire do we know of that could destroy a great city like NYC in a single day? I'm not going to say it, you can do the math.
And in a single moment shut down all the trading?
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
In one instant all trading was shut down and all the sea trade will stop...
11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
No more buying or selling and the other nations will watch the city burn. But it wouldn't be just the borders of NYC, it would shut down most of the eastern seaboard. This would cause vast devastations around the world. This could be the key event that starts the great tribulations.
I post this for the Glory of God. To testify that the scriptures are true. Now is the time to be humble before God, calling on God in the name of Christ Jesus to give us direction and strength. To help us prepare for what is soon to come.
The Great Tribulation begins when the Abomination of Desolation occurs.
The great city will promote infantile behavior which will lead to schizophrenia and total regression. Indeed, the party will end because of a double bind situation promoting lusts and yet paradoxically demanding that she keep from stealing by fulfilling such lusts. That results in paralysis due to disorientation, orientation which only God can re establish.
Isnt it thus telling that the enemy calls it “sexual-orientation”? You have no more euphemistic than mixing their regressed form of sexuality with any inkling of adult responsible orientation. Again, a double-bind word of contradiction: Orientation and unbridled sexuality ironically puritanical too.
About New York City, I doubt it. They have not sold slaves there for many years. The New World is not mentioned directly anywhere in the Bible.

Why don’t we stop trying to pin a city on prophesy where it isn’t clear, and just live for Christ? And encourage others to do likewise?
Private interpretations are annoying.
When the new Temple construction is started in Israel,the countdown begins. It may not seem feasible today but things are moving fast.
You have to reference more than The Revelation in developing your eschatology.

Are you aware of this? Have you not studied Zechariah thorougly to find these facts?
Can you say that you have been reborn in the Spirit? If not, thast's what you really need to be thinking about. And if so, you'd better find a really spiritually mature guide who can disciple you along the path pf progressive sanctification.
IMHO, right now, amd to be frank. your outlook cannot be used as a guide into Biblical eschatological doctrine.
I do not expect you to agree, so please don't bother to say so.
BIngo. The sole purpose of Revelation was to give us a glimpse of God’s power, and to warn us to be prepared souls at all times.
There is an abyss between knowing the season and assigning a city that is not clear in Scripture. Where Scripture isn’t clear, we should be silent.
