Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them...
Jesus Christ gave us His Olivet Discourse to explain the signs signalling his immanent return. He warned that we will not know the day or the hour of His return, however we will know the general time (Matt 24:33). He likens those who hear him to young brides waiting for their bridegroom. Jesus being he bridegroom and his believers being the ladies in waiting. This exclusive group is made up only of those who have confessed Christ and go out expectantly to meet him. [...] We are the virgins…
2 Corinthians 11:2 "…for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ."
Who are these believers in Jesus Christ? Muslims, who reject the biblical Jesus as God in the flesh, and relegate him to a prophet who exchanged places with Judas on the cross? Hindus, who believe Jesus is one of many gods? Buddhists, who believe Jesus is one of many prophets of Nirvana, or Nothingness? Atheists, who claim that Jesus Christ is either fictional or a lunatic? Heavens no! Most of the world rejects Jesus Christ and his words, except Christians.
Something happens as the Christians wait for the Bridegroom. He delays his coming. So much so that the night comes. What is the night? The “night” in Biblical Typology represents the Great Tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:2, Isaiah 60:2, John 9, etc.) This is the last 3.5 to 7 years before Jesus Christ returns physically to rule and reign from Jerusalem...

The parable says nothing about a rapture
I have often wondered about who the virgins are in the story.
I know most preaching I have heard is that they are Christians, but I tend to disagree.
The virgins are there for the wedding feast and waiting for the Bridegroom.
It’s generally recognized that Christ is the bridegroom. However, the virgins are not the bride.
WE, the church, are the bride. The bridegroom is not going to marry the virgins, he’s going to marry the bride. The virgins are guests or something.
I don’t know who the virgins are to represent but considering who the bride is, I don’t they they are the church.
The virgins are attending OUR wedding to the groom, not theirs.
Cotext is the key. Paul says we Christians are the virgins espoused to Christ in 2 Cor 11
I’m waiting for the big event: Acts 1:9-13; don’t know about any so-called Rapture.
There are two parts to the second coming. Part 1 as a thief in the night, and Part 2 as Coming King where every eye shall see Him.
However, the millions of Russian, Chinese, Asian, Arab and African believers who died over the last 100 years and are still facing persecution today because they believe in Christ are never mentioned by those preaching this doctrine.
Matthew 25
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Midnight oil is not sold in stores. So much for all the end-times prophecy merchandise.
Watchers of fake doctrines hit hardest.
Besides... Establishment Jesus is the fake Jesus that Jesus warned everybody about.
It's going to be a bloodbath so to speak.
Meanwhile, the real Messiah of the Bible is a great guy! The best of the best of the best! A veritable Can-Do "Captain America", which explains why these same geniuses can't find America in Bible Prophecy.
“I’m waiting for the big event: Acts 1:9-13; don’t know about any so-called Rapture.”
In due time that defining moment shall reveal itself. ;-)
Just think, one day people will wake up, or just stop and look around, and everyone that they knew and those they didn’t know that were redeemed by the blood of Christ will have vanished from the face of the earth. Oh glorious day. Of course we probably have to get to the point on this earth where those who remain here will be far more glad all these people are gone than they are in worrying about where they might have gone and why. But we in this Country are getting a real glimpse into the dynamics of it right now. The looney left would be THRILLED if every Trump supporter simply vanished this minute, and the MSM would be right there making up some sort of lies to account for it though “science”! Trump supporters are currently the target, but soon the Bible will be declare hate speech and anyone who has one or who believes what it says will be the targets(which probably includes 99% of Trump supporters anyway). The only real question is, will you be left behind, or not.
Amen sister. I came across this Book review just the other day:
Here is a well laid out Biblical teaching on dispensations:

The parable is given for and to the Jews, not The Body of Believrs CHURCH.
So why is the Second Coming mentioned first then this Rapture thing? Doesn’t make any sense.
Here is a 4 part series expressed in a movie form according to Scriptures, concerning these last days of the church age dispensation.

A thief in the night
Set in the early 1970’s, this is one of the most and widely viewed motion pictures of all time. A Thief in the Night tells the story of Patty, a young woman caught up in living for the present with little concern for the future. She meets and marries a young man and her life seems great, until one morning she awakens to find her husband gone and the radio reporting that millions of people have mysteriously disappeared. As dramatic, earth shaking events begin to unfold around her, Patty realizes she is living in the End Times spoken of in biblical prophecy. Adventure and suspense build to a climax in this powerful gripping film.

A distant thunder
The second movie in the end times series from Russ Doughten finds Patty on the run as she tries to elude the evil forces of UNITE. Throughout this movie she lives as a fugitive trying to hide from the ever increasing trouble around her. This is a follow up to the movie, “A Thief In the Night” and also has two other movies in the series, “Image of the Beast” and “The Prodigal Planet”.

The prodigal planet
In a world devastated by nuclear holocaust, a small underground resistance network battles the terrifying empire of the antichrist. The Bowl Judgments are poured out onto the earth. God’s sovereignty can no longer be denied, and His divine protection covers His faithful remnant. Part four of the classic Mark IV Pictures prophecy drama series.
In light of the context, this was a parable. I don’t think Jesus was making a doctrinal statement on who the virgins are. He was simply saying, since we don’t know when the big day will happen, we need to be ready, and keep being ready. The context, I believe, is simple. Be ready.
If you miss the Rapture, by definition, you are not a Christian. Christians don’t “miss” the Rapture like missing a bus.
In the Revelation to John, Jesus shows John the Redeemed from all over the world (including all 'ethnos' across time) as witnessing the opening of the seven sealed scroll. That first seal allows the antichrist to ride upon the scene. The Redeemed are from all nations and races.
Matthew 25:1 (TCENB):
“The better explanation is that this parable deals with the same time and people as the immediately preceding and following parables do. The ten virgins represent Jewish disciples in the Tribulation waiting for the coming of the King.”
