Generally the D & C and the Pearl of Great Price are not free.Pity; since most LDS practices come from the D&C's and not the BoM.

Pity, not at all. If you have difficulty understanding that Joseph Smith truly saw the Father and the Son, and the Book of Mormon is exactly what he said it was, you cannot reconcile Revelation from those who followed in Joseph’s footsteps.
