A thief in the night

A distant thunder
The second movie in the end times series from Russ Doughten finds Patty on the run as she tries to elude the evil forces of UNITE. Throughout this movie she lives as a fugitive trying to hide from the ever increasing trouble around her. This is a follow up to the movie, “A Thief In the Night” and also has two other movies in the series, “Image of the Beast” and “The Prodigal Planet”.

It was instrumental in my early years having come to Jesus 35 years ago. From that point having viewed this series I’ve had an interest in prophecy ever since.
Its a great witnessing tool when explaining the plan of God to new converts.

A related and favorite chapter of mine has always been Isa. 40.;as to the nations and God’s sovereignty.
Some surmise that He is waiting for His bride to make herself ready - and she is far from ready.
There is some scripture to support this.......I don’t know......

My personal take is that focusing on end times is a distraction from repentance and sanctification. With the several complex scenarios associated with end times literature it also, in my opinion, makes God seem like some kind of divine Rube Goldberg (for those old enough to understand the reference). Further, far from being an evangelistic tool, I know that it has been a roadblock for many people. Finally, at my age I’ll be seeing Jesus within the next 10-15 years. That’s all I need to know.
For those of you who remember Dr. Gene Scott, remember his words, “ Cheer Up Saints, It’s Gonna get Worse.”
