| On December 10th, President Trump tweeted out a very short message, "WISDOM AND COURAGE!!!". This tweet reminds me of the magnificent scripture at the entrance to the GE Building in Rockfeller Center, as designed by artist Lee Lawrie in 1933. The sculpture is called "Wisdom" and the words inscribed in huge letters below God are "Wisdom and Knowledge Shall be the Stability of thy Times", from Isaiah 33:6. As a New Yorker and builder of magnificent works of architecture, it's almost certain President Trump knows the words inscribed on that famous sculpture. And yet he dropped the word "Knowledge" and substituted "Courage" in his tweet. I think there's great significance in the words President Trump has chosen. And it may mark a turning point in our life as citizens in this free Republic. Basic knowledge is abundant in our digital world. We can quickly find practical answers to everyday questions by simply surfing the web or asking our Siri digital assistant to tell us. However this ease of finding basic info is a bit of a two edged sword, for to succeed as a self-reliant person is not just about following rules and conventional answers. It's also about breaking rules by trying new things -- and having the courage to follow our own path even though we're that path will actually take us. Without Wisdom, acquiring mere Knowledge can be dangerous, especially when the news media push narratives that the people who write them know are absolute lies. So called "journalists" for mainstream media like CNN and ABC are just liars earning a paycheck. And they certainly lack the courage to be independent thinkers. No one denies the Justices on the Supreme Court have amassed great legal Knowledge, but the most recently appointed Justices: Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Gorsuch lacked the Wisdom and Courage to oppose the Chief Justice who has blocked every single opportunity to review the rampant fraud we saw in November's election. So Wisdom and Courage are precisely the virtues needed at this hour in our Nation's history. Yet we can't rely on politicians, judges, or military to take the required action on our behalf. The burden rests soley with We the People. If we truly want to save our Freedom and preserve the greatest Republic the world has ever seen, we must take the country into our own hands. This, I believe, is the great lesson we will learn on January 6th — and I pray we patriots take it to heart. And so it is — with apologies to the original Designer — I digitally altered the Isaiah inscription to read "Wisdom and Courage are the Stability of Thy Times". |
