Still - it shakes me to the core of my soul to see this injustice prevail and for the wicked to prosper.
Even Paul protested the injustice he received, and told his persecutors that he was a Roman Citizen and they had violated the laws of the Empire.
Even David lamented, and asked God how long He would be silent, and begged him to strike his enemies on the jaw and break the teeth of the wicked.
What is happening all around us is horrific injustice - and to be honest, much of the "encouragement" falls flat to me. I know there is an eternal perspective. I know His will (not mine) be done.
It doesn't make it any easier.

I think of Psalm 37 all the time.
Or even Psalm 10 or 140.
These people just keep building divine fury that will eventually explode upon them. Every day that passes by shows me the very long-suffering nature of Our Lord. We want immediate retribution now, but we forget that at one point or another we were in the same shoes as our current oppressors. All of us.
The Lord shares our disgust and anger.
Luke 12:49

Maybe if we continue to bother God non-stop he’ll get tired of hearing us and just ignite His Judgement? If Covid-19 and “Great Reset 2021” are indicators, it might mean he’ll pull the rug out from under the worldly rulers a lot sooner than we can anticipate.
