Catholics Come Home: Tyler Lynch, Millennial & Intellectual Evangelical converts to Catholicism
Catholics Come Home ^

Posted on 12/16/2020 4:26:30 PM PST by Coleus

Video

In this episode, we will meet a 25 year old grad student, who, as a faithful evangelical, felt Catholicism was dead. But during his theological scripture studies, his preconceived biases were challenged, and in search for Truth, studied his way into the Catholic faith!

Like everybody else in this series, today’s guests came home to the Church, with the help of Catholics Come Home and responding to the call of the Holy Spirit.

I’d like you to meet, Tyler Lynch.

Do you enjoy being a sour little old twit who defines herself by her hatred of Catholics rather than her love of Christ?

You are fun, though, any little comment gets your panties in a wad and brings out the true hatred that characterizes you and your beliefs.

have a wonderful day playing bridge with the Howells.

Or is this your antiquing day where you pick up little trinkets for your yacht?

You paste a quote from Darby each time you support the anti-christ philosophy of the pre-tribulation rapture because you lack spiritual eyes for truth.

Your paganized religion of pre-tribulation rapture is not Christianity, not even close anymore.

Boatbums has The Holy Spirit abiding in her spirit as a born again member of the Body of Christ. And like her, I too am in that Body of Christ, so I can assure you CATHOLIC that we do not hate Catholics, we oppose the false works based religion of Catholicism which is not Christianity but ‘another religion’ as Paul identified your chosen religion which is rife with paganization.

I know that you're really only lashing out with personal attacks because you are unable to accept that genuine, Christ loving, born again Christians exist outside of Roman Catholicism. What bothers you more, that I left the Roman Catholic religion or that I rejoice in the assurance of my salvation and you can't? Maybe you and Jesus need to have a talk.

I wonder, does your wife know you insult women on the Internet and talk about their panties??? Mature men sure don't act like that.

I and many others have told you time and time again that it is NOT hatred for Catholics that motivate us but a strong objection to the false gospel Catholicism preaches. We've shown you the Biblical proof, the witness of the early believers, history and even your OWN catechism but perhaps it is your hatred of non-catholics that prevents you from responding in Christ-like love. I don't claim to know your heart - only God does - but your words are woefully lacking in it. I do pray for you regardless.

P.S. We don't live on a boat anymore - not since 2006 - so you can save your silly little snark. But why should it bother you anyway that someone lived aboard? Is it a dream you never got to realize? That's too bad. It is an amazing way to live and see parts of the world. We live in a regular house now in Florida but will always remember the wonderful places and people we got to see and meet. We were able to share the gospel with people we would have never been able to meet otherwise. God has blessed us in so many ways. I praise Him unceasingly.

Amen! Why do you think some of the Roman Catholics on this site are so filled with hatred towards non-catholic Christians that they spew out such vitriol and personal attacks? It definitely doesn’t attract others to their religion it only repels them.

Boatbums has a spirit abiding in her but it’s damn sure not the Holy Spirit.

Given your obvious lack of discernment it seems you may well suffer from the same diabolic delusion.

Don’t take the mark of the beast when it is commanded, if you survive the coming chaos with the Departure of the Body of Christ Believers. And I will note for you that you are saying the work of the Holy Spirit is the work of the satan in my life/spirit and boatbums life/spirit. Do you remember what Jesus said about such foolishness?

Then why did you take the mark of the beast by denying that the Holy Spirit can protect His Word from error in spite of neither Christ or the Apostles ever said there were any books in the Septuagint that shouldn’t be there?

Do you honestly believe that denying the perfection of the Holy Spirit meaning you deny the Trinity and even assert that the Holy Spirit aided Satan by ignoring errors in the Septuagint isn’t taking the mark of the beast?

Then to top that by relying on the heavily altered Masoretic text as the basis for Protestant Bibles and still pretend you’re not aligned with the Beast?

Please, you’re suffering from a diabolical delusion and so in love with that delusion that you’re blind.

Now scurry off to your Self and Self Alone gang.

Ah, you don’t have any idea what is the mark of the beast referring to. Understood. You don’t believe in the Great Departure of the Body of Christ either? Hmmm, gonna have to back up and bring you to truth before we can get you to stop insulting people as your modus operendi. BBL

I have no idea what makes them like they are. Maybe they grew up with the type of nuns that I had in school when I was a child - mean and nasty!

In fact, I got thrown out of Catholic school at the end of 2nd grade because I stuck up for my Jewish & Protestant friends. I was told by the nuns that they were all going to hell because they weren’t Catholic. I argued with the nuns and the nuns told my parents that I wasn’t to come back for 3rd grade. The nuns also told me that God didn’t love me because of that. I can’t begin to tell you what that does to a child’s psyche.

You deny the perfection of the Holy Spirit and not being perfect, the Holy Spirit cannot be part of the Trinity therefore there is no trinity.

Matthew 12:32 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him : but he that shall speak against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.

Or do you think you cam deny the perfection of the Holy Spirit and not be guilty of speaking against the Holy Spirit?

No doubt you have some rationalization or garbage interpretation to let yourself slide and ignore the truth but without a doubt denying the perfection of the Holy Spirit is exactly what the above Bible verse addresses.

Like the heresy of Core, though, you've fallen into the same personal Self and Self Alone rationalization of anything that makes you feel uncomfortable and for Protestant Volk, it's all about feelings which is why Satan has such an easy task of leading them astray.

Not an ounce of fear and trembling in ya;' May God have mercy on your soul and lead you to the truth before you have to face judgment for speaking against the Holy Spirit

When you start your insulting screed with a falsehood, there isn't much to follow that is worthy of resonse. I have not denied the Holy Spirit. God's Seed abides in me, so I could no more deny the Holy Spirit than I could breath under water without scuba gear or a snorkel.

My last word to you is don't take the mark of the beast when it is commanded to you, should you survive the chaos resulting from the departure of The Body of Christ.

Those sound like horrible nuns -- to me the core of faith is the Eucharist - where we have the High Priest with us, both in the spiritual and in the material sense.

The statement you make about the "keys to the kingdom" being "the gospel and every Apostle/believer having it" does not hold with what is in the Gospel

in Matthew 16 we read

Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah

13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter,[b] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[c] will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[d] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[e] loosed in heaven.” 20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.

This is very clearly a dialogue between Jesus and Simon Rock. It is NOT "with every Apostle", leave alone "with every believer" --> that is seen in the difference between verses 19 and 20 "then he ordered his disciples not to..."

It is also clearly in the text that the "keys" are not "the Gospel" - the Gospel is the message that the Kingdom of God HAS COME --> reference Acts 1:3 HE spoke about the Kingdom of God" - and Acts 28:21 He proclaimed the Kingdom of God

Look at the way Matthew 16:15-19 is structured. After Peter gives a confession about the identity of Jesus, the Lord does the same in return for Peter. Jesus does not say, ‘Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are an insignificant pebble and on this rock I will build my Church. . . . I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.’ Jesus is giving Peter a threefold blessing, including the gift of the keys to the kingdom, not undermining his authority.

Jesus is installing Peter as a form of chief steward or prime minister under the King of Kings by giving him the keys to the kingdom. As can be seen in Isaiah 22:22, kings in the Old Testament appointed a chief steward to serve under them in a position of great authority to rule over the inhabitants of the kingdom. Jesus quotes almost verbatim from this passage in Isaiah, and so it is clear what he has in mind. He is raising Peter up as a father figure to the household of faith (Isa. 22:21), to lead them and guide the flock (John 21:15-17).

. This authority of the prime minister under the king was passed on from one man to another down through the ages by the giving of the keys, which were worn on the shoulder as a sign of authority. Likewise, the authority of Peter has been passed down for 2000 years by means of the papacy.
