I was born in 1985. I have vague memories of when the world was still decent. It was the early to mid 90s when everything started going downhill. In the past 10 years it has been in a freefall.
Actually the sixties is when it started going downhill.
72’ here. I can remember more innocent times and agree as to the 90’s being the decade it all started sliding. The cultural norm shift. Was around 17 when Clinton got elected. Had a bad feeling about him and told my folks I sense this man’s win portends a bad omen. I didn’t understand why cause I wasn’t all that into politics at that age. Was just a bad feeling I got.
Your post hit a nerve with me (I agree with all you said).
I was born in 1977. I remember the early 80s vividly as a very innocent and decent world. The sports world had decent athletes not shooting up and who had at least semi ‘morals’, politicians weren’t downright depraved craven liars, and the closet was kept shut by a society that abhorred the idea of sexual freaks.
9/11 definitely changed almost everything. ZERO (the Kenyan) made it even worse.
It’s pretty safe to say that you haven’t witnessed a normal world at all. Looking back, I probably haven’t either.
I’m very much looking forward to the Great Reset that Jesus will provide. I might die before then, but at this point I’m hardly afraid of that.
To be precise, it was late January, 1993.
