Met McCarrick once. He was an auxilliary bishop in the Archdiocese of NY and was celebrating Confirmation for my 7th graders. My wife who was with me joked that he reminded her of the Bishop of East Anglia from Monty Python. He is from Throgg’s Neck in the Bronx and I taught two of his nephews. Some from the parish still refuse to believe the evidence.
