This is a short little video that will NOT tell you WHO to vote for. If thats what youre looking for, wrong video. Instead, I will walk you through how I think about voting first and foremost as a Christian rather than as a member of one or another political tribe. I also want to talk about the idea of ideological constraint, which can warp our thought processes as we engage with politics. Its important.
So
again
not going to tell you who to vote for. Or even who NOT to vote for. Thats up to you. This is just a window into my thinking about voting. Take it or leave it. Leave a comment if you agree, or if you see things another way. (Just be civil about it, please. Disagree without being... what's the word? Oh yeah... disagreeable.)

Is that Alan Alda?
Speaker is the guy who made the Veggie Tales bible videos for kids. He is a liberal Christian.
Jesus said sell your cloak and buy a sword.
So you go to a satanic church?

“So you go to a satanic church?”
No. We’ve attended this church for five years and didn’t hear liberal stuff until a few months ago. The pastor never talks about politics, just posted this video on the church’s FB page. We are connected to a lot of people in this church and like it and I don’t want to switch but it is discouraging.
You’ve demonstrated perfectly how evil subtly slips into the world. You sounds like Eve convincing herself and Adam that it’s okay to eat the apple.
Your church, regardless of your alibis, is now a follower of sin. Did Jesus anywhere say that it’s okay to partake in or tacitly condone sin as long as you have friends that do the same? It’s probably always been a church that followed sin you just chose to ignore it. Regardless you now have a choice to make.
