I’m not saying the victims, Cathars and Huguenots both, were bad people - just heretics and rebels in their persecutors’ way of thinking. The common thread was civilizational self-confidence. The Muslims involved in this head-hunting incident are actual murderers and their enablers. Merely killing them would be merciful compared to the tortures dealt out to what were considered mere heretics many centuries ago.
