The Christian Sawan did not blaspheme against Muhammad: they released him after 7 years in prison and a looted neighborhood

Who will return the Christian Sawan Masih's 7 years of life in prison under threat of execution?

In 2014 Sawan Masih was sentenced to death in Lahore, Pakistan, because a "friend" accused him of having blasphemed against Muhammad.

He has spent this time on death row, from the age of 31 to 38, in an appeal process that has finally led to his acquittal in the Lahore High Court, in Punjab, this past October 5. He has already been released.

Sawan Masih is a health worker, his wife is named Sobia and they have three children (16-year-old Noor, 14-year-old Saim and 12-year-old Rebecca).

His accuser, Shahid Imran, stated in 2014 that this Christian family man told him that "Jesus is genuine" and is "the true son of Allah" and "will return, while your prophet is false. Only Jesus is the true source of salvation".

3,000 extremists attacked his neighborhood, destroyed 150 houses

In 2013 this case was used as an excuse by a horde of 3,000 Islamic extremists who stormed the Joseph Colony neighborhood, a Christian-majority area in Lahore. During the attack they destroyed or burned 150 houses, 75 shops and two churches, including Masih's own house.

They made bonfires in which they threw icons of Jesus, the Virgin and dozens of Bibles. The loudspeakers of the mosques in the area were loudly shouting (false) accusations against the Christians.

The police arrested many attackers, but despite all this damage, an anti-terrorist court acquitted more than 100 Muslims suspected of participating in the attack on the Christian quarter in 2017 (although there are videos that record the attacks with uncovered faces).

Now the High Court judges have established that Sawan Masih did not commit the crime of blasphemy. In fact, his accuser, Shahid Imran, could be tried for slander.

Sawan Masih's lawyer claims that behind the accusation was a wealthy local businessman who wanted to seize the land from Christians for industrial purposes, and sought to expel them from Joseph Colony.

A law to harass Christians for personal disputes

Javed Bashir, a Christian pastor at the Voice of Christ Pentecostal Church in Karachi, explains - in statements collected by AsiaNews - that in Pakistan "false accusations of blasphemy are often motivated by personal revenge and religious hatred" and also "are used to resolve personal disputes. "

Bashir asks that "the government prosecutes and punishes false accusations and fabricated testimonies", which provide penalties ranging from six months to seven years in prison. Activist Shazia George highlights pressure on judges "by religious groups" (referring to aggressive Islamists) to pass convictions in blasphemy cases. "Official statistics - he concludes - show that at least 80 people, including judges, lawyers and politicians, have been extrajudicially murdered for supporting the accused in cases of blasphemy or for having expressed their disagreement with the laws."

Human rights activist and defender Suneel Malik noted that this case "confirms studies that blasphemy laws are used to resolve personal disputes and land disputes." For those charges "totally fabricated," he continues, "he was in prison for more than seven years, despite not having committed any crime." (google translate)

(original)

“Behind the accusation was a wealthy local businessman who wanted to seize the land from Christians for industrial purposes.”

Sounds familiar. Just as wealthy businessmen promote a false accusation against a Pakistani Christian man, so too, Martin Luther, Calvin and other deceivers were supported by wealthy businessman to promote false accusations against the Roman Catholic Church “to seize land.”

This is just another reason why I refuse to buy anything from Pakistan, harborer of terrorists and a land of Stone Age mentality. A particular product that they export, besides utter stupidity, is textiles. Check where your socks, towels, fabrics on the bolt, etc. are made. Lots of times, it’s Pakistan. I just left a bolt of fabric on the shelf at a fabric store the day before yesterday, as I noticed it was made in Pakistan. No, I don’t support terrorist-loving states, sorry.

We are seeing this type of mob rule in our cities. When will we get this insanity under control? I know the government has the The Active Denial System (ADS) that can create frequencies that cause peoples' top layer of skin to burn. I say let these freaks burn!
