I guess it would be better rendered:

“A SHIPload of sugar and a shovel of cyanide.”

Last Saturday I heard a radio preacher say something that resonated heavily with me. Now, I cannot remember word for word, sorry. In the Bible, God made man to be a good steward of earth. That does not mean just nature, and to each other a good neighbor, BUT to be a good government steward which means voting!!! We must vote, we must watch what is being done by boards (such as education) to make sure they are doing the work of Jesus, not merely man.

So this is a great support article. Thank you for posting!

I agree with every question you asked except for one inaccurate item:

Question #4: It wasn’t Ezekiel who preached naked but the prophet Isaiah

See here: Isaiah 20:1-4

But that does not take away your your point. :)

Thanks for this post. This is how civilized people should discuss their differences.

Excellent point. The Donald Trump of today is not the same as the one say of many years ago. The same can be said of many of us as we go through life. My initial reaction to his announcing his run to be President was one of caution but I was at least open to him and willing to give him a shot. I was fully on board by the middle of the primaries. During the transition period someone posted here his agenda and reading it all I could think was it was written up by a Freeper. If he even got a fraction of it done it would be a huge victory. That’s been done. Has he had a perfect Presidency? No but it’s been a resounding success from my and I assume most Freepers perspectives.

It was way too long-winded for a subjective opinion - but if his conclusion was the following, then I agree 100%:

President Trump’s so-called boastfulness is not only NOT a sin, but it is entirely necessary in the context of a hostile and criminally dishonest media monopoly dead-set on destroying him.

If he doesn’t toot his own horn, nobody will - and it needs to be tooted.

Anyone who buys into the Left’s narrative that President Trump’s character flaws make him unfit to lead, is a moron. Sure he is flawed, but so is everyone - with the exception of the unborn - whom he defends.

I am getting so sick of people who will not let go of Trump’s past.

Would they want to be forever judged based on the decisions they made in the past?

Do they not allow for the fact that people can and do change? Especially in light of the fact that a profession of faith was made?

Who becomes spiritually mature overnight?

It’s God who decides what is the most important thing in a person’s life to work on, and it’s not always what we would think or want.

My first thought was that Piper is perhaps better suited for a black suit and a horse and buggy.

On second thought, I have two words which illustrate the folly of personal virtue, however one might define it, as qualification for high office:

Jimmy Carter.

Here's two more: Winston Churchill.

Big personalities have big flaws.
