Exodus7
Aarons Staff Becomes a Snake
8 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 9 When Pharaoh says to you, Perform a miracle, then say to Aaron, Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh, and it will become a snake.
10 So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake. 11 Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: 12 Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aarons staff swallowed up their staffs. 13 Yet Pharaohs heart became hard and he would not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
Oh LORD, Our God!
Sanctified and Holy is Your Most Hallowed Name.
How Excellent,
How Wonderful,
How Perfect You Are!
My heart is Overwhelmed With Your Glory,
Your Magnificence,
and Your Power!
When I think of how Awesome You Are,
Of How You Transcend Time and Space,
Of How You Created Everything That Is and Ever Was,
Of How You Tell History
From the Beginning to The End
and the End to The Beginning,
Of How You Give us a Glimpse into Your Infinite Mind
through Your Holy and Unchanging Word,
How You Are Faithful To Your Promises
Even When We Fall Away,
And How You Fulfill Every Detail of Your Precepts,
When we ourselves fall so short of the target,
I just have to stop everything,
And say, "How Great and AWESOME YOU ARE!"
LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.
We Pray For Our President,
And other Leaders of Our Beloved USA
May They Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 7
A Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the Lord concerning Cush, a Benjaminite.
1 O Lord my God, in you I take refuge;
save me from all my pursuers, and deliver me,
2 or like a lion they will tear me apart;
they will drag me away, with no one to rescue.
3 O Lord my God, if I have done this,
if there is wrong in my hands,
4 if I have repaid my ally with harm
or plundered my foe without cause,
5 then let the enemy pursue and overtake me,
trample my life to the ground,
and lay my soul in the dust.
Selah
6 Rise up, O Lord, in your anger;
lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies;
awake, O my God;* you have appointed a judgement.
7 Let the assembly of the peoples be gathered around you,
and over it take your seat* on high.
8 The Lord judges the peoples;
judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness
and according to the integrity that is in me.
9 O let the evil of the wicked come to an end,
but establish the righteous,
you who test the minds and hearts,
O righteous God.
10 God is my shield,
who saves the upright in heart.
11 God is a righteous judge,
and a God who has indignation every day.
12 If one does not repent, God* will whet his sword;
he has bent and strung his bow;
13 he has prepared his deadly weapons,
making his arrows fiery shafts.
14 See how they conceive evil,
and are pregnant with mischief,
and bring forth lies.
15 They make a pit, digging it out,
and fall into the hole that they have made.
16 Their mischief returns upon their own heads,
and on their own heads their violence descends.
17 I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness,
and sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
I have shared this story before, but in this series of "Lambs, Sheep, and Shepherds in the Bible", it make a lot of sense to share it again from memory. So, even if you have heard this story before, please be patient!
After leaving Beersheba the tour bus lumbered along some very rough territory. Winding roads took us through treacherous, arid wilderness, and sometimes the people on the bus found themselves praying for our safety. Suddenly, the bus came to a complete stop in the middle of nowhere.
"Oh No!", people cried out, "What's happening?" Are we out of gas? Has the bus broken down?"
"Just some Bedouins," said the Bus Driver. "No Problem. She has the Right of Way."
We all crowded to the front of the bus to see. There, in the middle of the road, was a little Bedouin girl, swathed in black, who looked about eleven years old. She stood in front of the bus, and held her staff aloft, as about a hundred black goats sashayed across the street under her watchful eye. When the last goat passed, she lowered her staff, nodded at the bus driver, and, with her little flock, melted into the wilderness.
See? No Problem! said the bus driver, and we continued on our way.
The priests and magicians of Egypt had a staff of sorts, but it was actually a rod with a symbolic finial on the top. It has evolved in the "magic wand" image that we see today in Disney movies and fairy tale books. Some of Pharaoh's magicians may have even been old enough to remember Moses, and knew that he was fully versed in their arts. They must have thought that Moses had learned some new "tricks" while out in the desert. When Moses threw Aaron's staff to the floor, it became a snake. And so, the magicians did the same with their "magic wands". They may have used hypnosis, illusion, or maybe even some form of occult power to produce this effect. But then, Moses' snake actually DEVOURED the snakes produced by the magicians. Whatever was used to produce the magicians snakes was powerless against the Power of the One True God.
This Halloween, a large group of occultists, using social media, have vowed to gather together and put a curse on the President of the United States. Whether they really believe in this, or whether it is just "Political Theater", we know that they have no power when faced with the Power of Almighty God. Here is a little prayer I wrote for the occasion:
In Jesus Name, we stand against any curses, spells, or other demonic activity aimed at our President. We clothe him in the Breastplate of Righteousness, shoe his feet with the Gospel of Peace, Put the Helmet of Salvation on his head, Gird him with the belt of Truth, and cover him with the shield of Faith. We take up the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and believe in You, Dear Lord, that You will protect and defend this man whom You have chosen to be our Executive, for such a time as this.
In Jesus Name.
Amen.
Just as the little Bedouin Girl could hold up a whole busload of tourists in the middle of nowhere, using only her shepherd's staff, and just as Moses' Staff devoured the curses and "magik" of Pharaoh's cronies, we now stand together holding aloft the Staff of The One True Shepherd!

A much-needed “extra” prayer today. Fortunately, I stocked up on “Amens,” so I have enough to cover both: Amen! and Amen!

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM! And for the Preservation of the Valiant Israeli Nation!
"Moses and Aaron before Pharaoh" Master of the Dinteville Allegory 1537

_ |
ND The Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, take thy rod, |
and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent. And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

Thank you for your kindness, redryder_90. I spent 3 weeks in Israel back in 1984 (Twentieth Century! LOL!), but I remember everything as if it were yesterday. It made quite an impression on me!
