I’d say he’s not doing a very good job!
Neither the laity nor the clergy were meant to trudge along like sheep, following a false shepherd off the cliff. God gives us minds and hearts, and we know with both of them that Bergoglio is wrong. Not only wrong but possibly intentionally so, and thus evil as well as wrong.
Bergoglio has been relying on a mistaken understanding of the Papacy, which is that the Pope’s personal whims become magisterium. They don’t, they have in be in accordance with the magisterium thorough history. His is not. It is our responsibility, and particularly that of the bishops, to correct him or to reject him.

Then read the Word of GOD and realize just how opposite of truth and Scripture that the roman church has become.
When this generation is dead the next generation takes over they will take your pope’s words and make them as tradition and will use the the words that you use today, “it’s always been this way”.
I heard that in my military career when I would go back to the same post and things had changed and I would ask how long has this been this way and the same answer was “it’s always been this way” and I would say nope it wasn’t like that back when.
The only unchanging thing is the Word of GOD.
