Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Lambs, Sheep, and Shepherds

.

Exodus 6

Aaron to Speak for Moses

28 Now when the Lord spoke to Moses in Egypt, 29 he said to him, “I am the Lord. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I tell you.”

30 But Moses said to the Lord, “Since I speak with faltering lips, why would Pharaoh listen to me?”

New International Version (NIV)(End of Scripture Passage)

Moses is still kvetching about his faltering speech! God is PATIENT!

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Dear Father In Heaven,
How Hallowed is Your Most Wonderful Name!
We Love You With Our Whole Heart
With Our Whole Soul
With Our Whole Strength
And With Our Whole Being.
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship
You Alone Are The One True, Holy, and Righteous God.
Rock of All Ages,
Our Creator,
You Have Made Us,
and All That Is.

In Your Infinite Mercy,
Count us among Your Servants,
That we may partake of the Blessings of Your Promise!

Whoever invokes a blessing in the land
will do so by the one true God;
whoever takes an oath in the land
will swear by the one true God.
For the past troubles will be forgotten
and hidden from my eyes.(Isaiah 65)

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our President,
And other Leaders of Our Beloved USA
May They Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

In my attempt at satire, I have created an alternate universe of Anthropology, describing various human habits that keep us from experiencing the Abundant Life that God, in His Mercy and Grace, extends to us. We explored the aggressive Yushouda Tribe (You Shoulda done this, you shoulda done that), and the fearful "Whatiffs" (What if I fail? What if I get sick?). Today we will look at two of the most difficult, passive-aggressive sub-groups, that seem quite righteous and humble at first glance. These are the notorious and deceptive "Whoamais" and their close relatives "The Whadduwainos".

Let's talk about the "Whoamais" first. This particular group has perfected a way of shirking duty, deflecting criticism, and rejecting responsibility by merely saying, "Who am I that I should preach the truth?" "Who am I that I should lead?" Needless to say, the "Whoamais" lived in squalor and disarray, and never got anything done. Upon finding the remains of the "Whoamais", anthropologists are appalled at the sad state of their civilization. But, they conclude, the "Whoamais" must have been very HUMBLE and RIGHTEOUS people! After all, nobody ever excelled in anything, if it meant that it might be embarrassing to somebody who wasn't excelling in anything.

"The Whadduwainos" were a little more advanced in their civilization than the "Whoamais". They didn't mind working, or even leadership, and spent a great deal of time debating one another. Like the Greek Philosophers at Mars Hill, the "Whadduwainos" argued day and night about Philosophy, Religion, The Occult, and the Universe. However, when confronted with Absolutes, the "Whadduwainos" would quickly squelch any further debate with the catch phrase, "Well, What do I know?" and that would end the discussion. It was an unspoken rule that once the "Whadduwaino" was invoked, there would be no further debate. And so, the "Whadduwainos" perished. They were not, however, buried in Antiquity. We still have remnants in our daily speech derived from the "Whoamais" and the "Whadduwainos". There are even echoes of the branches of the "Whoamais" known as the "Whomees" and the "Aididintduits" made famous by the cartoon character Bart Simpson.

We all have traits that hearken back to these dim times. However, when God gives us a job to do, it does not matter "Who am I". It does matter Who God is. And He is Omnipotent.

When God gives us Truth, it does not matter "What Do I know?". It matters what God knows, and He is Omniscient.

And when we say "Who me?" or "I didn't do it", it matters not, because God is Omnipresent.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)

God Bless America!

Psalm 28

Of David.

1 To you, O Lord, I call;
my rock, do not refuse to hear me,
for if you are silent to me,
I shall be like those who go down to the Pit.
2 Hear the voice of my supplication,
as I cry to you for help,
as I lift up my hands
towards your most holy sanctuary.*

3 Do not drag me away with the wicked,
with those who are workers of evil,
who speak peace with their neighbours,
while mischief is in their hearts.
4 Repay them according to their work,
and according to the evil of their deeds;
repay them according to the work of their hands;
render them their due reward.
5 Because they do not regard the works of the Lord,
or the work of his hands,
he will break them down and build them up no more.

6 Blessed be the Lord,
for he has heard the sound of my pleadings.
7 The Lord is my strength and my shield;
in him my heart trusts;
so I am helped, and my heart exults,
and with my song I give thanks to him.

8 The Lord is the strength of his people;
he is the saving refuge of his anointed.
9 O save your people, and bless your heritage;
be their shepherd, and carry them for ever.

Joining in prayer. I am among the “What if’s”. What if I had sought the Lord every day of my life for instruction and direction. . . I would still be on His Plan A or B for me . . .instead I am probably on Plan T! Just sayin’ :).

I am more of the “Whuwamai” type. We all go through self-doubt from time to time. Moses obviously suffered from it too, so we’re not alone!
