The Treasury Department accused Ahmed Luqman Talib of working as a financial facilitator for al Qaeda, saying his work dealing gemstones gave him “the ability to move funds internationally” for the Muslim extremist group’s benefit.

The Treasury on Monday sanctioned both Talib — who did business in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Turkey and other countries — and his Melbourne-based gemstone company, Talib and Sons...

Then they should take a look at the funds transfers of Mosques and Islamic Centers in cities throughout the country. They have been transferring funds to radical groups for years. In Seattle, the Islamic Centers were set up by the Muslim Brotherhood and have been shipping worth to the middle east since the late 1960’s with the opening of the South Seattle Islamic Center. It has increased with the further opening of 6 more facilities like Mosques, Centers, and schools. There is even a Druze Community in the area that has been in existence since 1908.
