Shameful.
The bishop of Brooklyn filed a lawsuit requesting a temporary restraining order. It was denied by the court the other day, saying that the Brooklyn Catholics weren't affected:
In his decision, Komitee wrote that Cuomos executive order was actually aimed at houses of worship in the Orthodox Jewish community and that the diocese "appears to have been swept up in that effort having been mostly spared, so far at least, from the problem at hand."
Punitively denying government funding over a lawsuit and demonstrations is ipso fatso a violation of the due process equal protection clauses of the 14th Amendment, and of course the first amendment. The fact that they fear this is all the more reason for the government to stop funding everything.
