The Seventh-day Adventist Church is now in “survival” mode financially as it estimates a $26 million decline in tithe from their members
“According to reports received from division treasurers, the decrease in tithe income could be estimated as low as 5% and as high as 25%, and the decrease in mission offerings as low as 10 percent and as high as 40 percent,” world church treasurer Juan Prestol-Puesán said during his Oct. 8 financial update to the members of the General Conference Executive Committee, according to the Adventist Review.
The Adventist Church headquarters estimates the impact of the decline will amount to $26 million and pointed to budget control measures such as the suspension of allocations to selected functions; introduction of budget reductions for departments and programs; and reduction, reallocation, and redirection of personnel to blunt the impact of the decline in donations.
Prestol-Puesán said between March and June 2020, all major church regions reported a decline in tithe and mission offerings, year-over-year and noted that the trend is expected to continue through December.
“We know that the year 2020 is a survival year, and that normality may return sometime in 2021,” he said
Tithes are the biggest scam going in most church denominations. Church leaders always thump home Malachi 3: 8 creating a guilty conscience with the congregations. The entire teaching on tithes is not even close to the Biblical teachings of tithing or giving a tenth … It’s not the congregation that’s robbing God in tithes, it’s the leaders robbing their own gullible congregations from an unbiblical teaching on tithes …
And what about these Seven Day Adventists; what are they worth? .. About US$14 billion … The denomination currently receives about $2 billion annually according to this year’s edition of the Global Tithing Index (GTI).

Spreading the Gospel, of course.
It still takes money to do that.
I suspect it is as bad in Catholic parishes; the virus targeted the last group that even bothered going, and the leadership let the media portray them as wealthy disconnected buffoons - younger people have no use for them.
The Church in the West was already contracting rapidly in terms of churchgoing attendees; this will hasten that a bit.
Or people quit going to church and came to the conclusion that all the church rules were nonsense.
So you're saying that "...they don't have the money to do the money's job," right?
You're saying that it is the job of "the" money to spread the Gospel, but that the people don't have enough money to do that job, right?

Great thing about God — one can drop to their knees and pray anywhere — you don’t have to go to a building or service... it’s not demanded — the leadership says so, they dependent on it... but in these times, pray where you are.
