Frankie, the man, isn't infallible. Neither was/is Pope Benedict or JP2 or any other Pope. The principle of papal infallibility as espoused by the church is that the the office is infallible when breaking a deadlock on dogmatic issues. Namely the deciding vote. No more, no less

Then you say are your traditions fallible - of course a Catholic will say they are God's traditions -- just as you say that your Oral Torah (which the High Priests during Jesus' time rejected) is infallible - and if you say "go OLD" - then why don't you take up the Gathas and apply those? Or the Rig Veda? They're as innovative as the Talmudic principles
