His Excellency shared his thoughts about Fratelli Tutti with The Remnant Newspaper.
Otober 14, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) Bishop Athanasius Schneider has expressed grief over Pope Francis latest encyclical Fratelli Tutti, noting that it lacks a clearly supernatural horizon, misrepresents St. Francis, and furthers the theological confusion Pope Francis created with his Abu Dhabi statement.
Reflecting on the time of St. Francis where the saint was called by Christ to rebuild the Church, Archbishop Schneider says, Today the Church of Rome finds herself in a similar situation of spiritual collapse, due to the spiritual torpor of a majority of the Shepherds of the Church, the excessive absorption of the Pope himself in temporal affairs, and his efforts to bring about the rebirth of a universal aspiration to a this-worldly and naturalistic fraternity.
In a new interview with The Remnant, Bishop Schneider says, Pope Francis presents St. Francis as though he had been a supporter of the diversity of religions. Rather, the auxiliary Bishop of Astana in Kazakhstan points out, St. Francis was all about converting people to the one true faith. In making his point, Bishop Schneider quotes Pope Pius XIs description of St. Franics as a man who set about personally and commanded his disciples to occupy themselves before everything else with the conversion of the heathen to the Faith and Law of Christ. (emphasis in the original)
Rather than correct the religious relativism that plagued the Popes controversial Abu Dhabi statement, which falsely asserted that the pluralism and the diversity of religions was willed by God in His wisdom, the Pope, according to Bishop Schneider, did not correct Abu Dhabi but solidified it.
It would have been of great benefit had Fratelli Tutti pointed to the need for all men to believe in Jesus Christ, God and Man, in.......

If Jesus is G-d (G-d forbid,) try G-d. -- of course Jesus is God. He's either God or as you Noahides say, a charlatan now being tortured in Jewish hell in boiling excrement (that's in the Talmud by the by). Now which of those do you, Phinneous, believe?
Then you say are your traditions fallible - of course a Catholic will say they are God's traditions -- just as you say that your Oral Torah (which the High Priests during Jesus' time rejected) is infallible - and if you say "go OLD" - then why don't you take up the Gathas and apply those? Or the Rig Veda? They're as innovative as the Talmudic principles
Jesus is God according to
1. The book of Daniel which talks of the end of the age in the 1st century AD (70 “sevens”) and where Daniel saw that the anointed one would come and that Jerusalem and the temple would be destroyed, ending sacrifices once and for all
2. The book of Micah and Zakaraiah who prophesied that the Messiah would come
The books of the “old testament” are replete with details about the Messiah, and Jesus fulfilled them.
That is why large numbers (may be even most) Jews of the 2nd temple period became part of the Jesus-movement-Jewish sect and rejected the Pharisees and their Law.
After the destruction of the temple in 70 AD, Jesus was vindicated - He promised in the Olivet discourse and later to the Sanhedrin that THAT generation would see the destruction, the abomination and would see Him coming on the clouds to the Ancient of Days.
The temple was destroyed, but the Pharisee-Jews reinvented their sect into one that wished away the sacrifices in the temple — read about Rabbi Ben Zakkai who reinvented Pharisee-ism.
And to compound it, in AD 70 at the Council of Jamnia, they created their religion, the Pharisee-Judaism, eschewing the sacrifices etc. and editing out books of the Hebrew canon that were used by the Jesus-movement sect.
And Pharisee-Jews "know" this as it is from their ethno-cultural group, right?
And Samaritans "know" that the Jews are wrong to add to the Torah because they inherited their Bible from their ethno-cultural group, right?
Your argument is specious at best - on what basis do Jews Add on the Prophets to the Torah? The Samaritans say that is a false bible.
ZC is a Noahide, not a Pharisee-Jew. He may have been a Jesus-movement-Jew (i.e. Christian) earlier.
Anyway, the Jewish canon was edited and closed in AD 70 — and they tossed out the Septuagint and the Deuterocanonical books because those books were used by the Jesus-movement as justification for their claims.
the Deuterocanonicals in particular came under their ire as it drew and was drawing the vast bulk of 2nd temple Jews to the Jesus-movement-sect and away from the Pharisee-sect.
Thats easy. For your B to be true, our A must perforce be true. For A (the Hebrew Bible) to be true requires no veracity from the NT.
And you didn't answer that
Since you hold the new Testament books to not be, in your opinion, true, let’s ask you on what stand-alone basis do you hold that the book of Numbers is true?
