“Just to point out again, unlearner — the Arabic word for god is ‘illah’ The Arabic word for ‘the god’ is Al-illah i.e. Allah”
The bottom line is that it is indefensible to say Allah is Satan. Words have meanings. If a person wants to critique Islam as being Satanic, so be it. The story that is the basis of this thread certainly gives credence to that argument.
Over the past few centuries there have been times when Protestants and Catholics burned people at the stake in the name of Jesus. Jews were also persecuted, and Jews have persecuted Christians in the name of God. But most Christians would take offense to someone saying Jesus is Satan because of evil things people did in His name. Nor would we decide to rename Jesus to something else in order to appease such critics.
I responded to an ignorant comment. It’s something I’ve seen pop up here time and again over the years. It’s foolishness that deserves to be corrected.
on thinking about it, you are correct, the phrase “To say Allah is Satan” is incorrect.
The better term would be “The Mohammaden god is not the Judeo-Christian god but is Satan”
the reason why I (in capitals) call the Mohammedan god as Satan is not because of the actions of the followers but because of the description of the deity as in the Quran and more specifically the Hadiths (al-Muslim mostly)
