Jesus is an absolute monarch.
Yes, King of Kings.
Jesus worked in a small business with his dad when he was a kid, like so many of us.
Thought I would ping my old list and let everyone know I am getting back into it. Had writers block for a few years, but it seems the LORD is calling me back to begin writing again.
"That is because Jesus did not come to influence the government, but the people who needed salvation. He wanted men to believe in Him not some social agenda that would get the government to do what Christians were called to do."
Socialism is a political idea. Jesus was apolitical. Jesus didn't advocate any earth-bound political theory as a solution to anything.
Jesus did not concern himself with politics though the politics of men were concerned about Jesus.
Jesus offered salvation not "Utopia" on earth.
Amen
:) welcome
Perhaps the primary idea within socialism is that there is no God, so people can do those things that were traditionally reserved for God. Perversely, they re-imagine The Bible with God replaced by man, just so they can figure out what it is they should be able to do.
As such, they take a free hand to rewrite The Bible to their own whimsy, quite literally. The Transcendentalist philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson examined this intentional corruption in detail, in detailing what he considered an ideal future time where mankind is reduced to living in isolated primitive villages, actively prevented from technology and improvement by their itinerant spiritual betters, who would twist the truth as needed to keep them in perpetual stagnation and grinding poverty.
An irony, I suppose, that the only unifying force within the philosophy of socialism is The Bible, which permits them to make the same horrific ideas over and over again, no matter how often they fail.
Beware the Christian who embraces socialism, for they are a socialist, not a Christian, be they a peasant or the Pope.
I agree
He taught lifes most important lesson
Treasures are of heaven. Not of this earth
No and those who portray Him as such are blasphemous!
I agree, but I’m specifically referring to reaching the uneducated ignorant Christians who need to be reached with the truth
This argument has been around for decades. The totalitarians always use it to justify trying to make Christians accept totalitarianism as something Christ would have wanted them to do.
Thanks for sharing this.
I was not aware of the role temple service played in the economic situation of the early church in Jerusalem. Interesting.
The key distinction between the communal arrangement of early Christians as opposed to Communism is that it was entirely voluntary, even among members of the church.

Jesus is the God of Israel. He dictated the Torah through Moses. The Torah is singularly for private property and non-governmental charitable giving. God directly condemns stealing, theft, coveting, lying and slander.
2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, we would give you this order: if anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.
Nah - Jesus said individuals should take care of each other...governments were inconvenient necessities for the human condition.
