Works don’t save. They never have, never will.
There are a dozen verses at least that prove that.

And your statement makes no sense...

“What is SAVING is knowing that AFTER you have RECEIVED the GIFT of ETERNAL LIFE...”

If I’ve already received it why do I need to be saved again with good works? Huh?

And your statement makes no sense...

You misread it, then mistook it. After you are saved, you will be expected to take care--as His child-overseer--of as much of His earthly estate as He has put you in charge of (symbolically as "talents"). And that means right away.

. Any "works" one does as a child of the god of this world before being saved will not get you saved, no matter how "good" you think they are. For instance:

"The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight" (Prov. 15:8 AV).

Nor will merely acknowledging that Jesus exists--the Devil does that.

What turns some people away from yielding to Jesus as one's Savior and Master is realizing that subsequent to becoming saved and the servant of Jesus as Lord and Christ (meaning Anointed which is the ritual effecting one's Kingship), it is well known that you will be expected to follow His commands that engage one in good works, done willingly, and rewarded with extra benefits at the Bema Seat of Christ.

Those who are unwilling to change their behavior and cease from a life of sinning cannot be saved. It takes a godly sorrow unto repentance (change of mind) and unreserved committed loyalty to Jesus (change of ownership) wherein will come a subsequent mode of behavior (change of occupation) to be a candidate slated for heaven (change of eternal residence) to the person who has been living under God's condemnation and suffering for it.

Good works follow salvation (under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and one's spiritually mature leaders in the assembly). Nothing previously done can purchase it (when one is without the Spirit, disobedient to God, slated for Hell if one's way of thinking is not changed). Turning to God from sin is repentance, one side of the coin whose other side is totally convinced and convicted belif th Christ.

That is why He gathered together His unregenerated disciples (they had no indwelling holy Spirit before their Pentecostal experience)and scolded them:

"And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?"

But after he was resurrected and while walking with them, just before He ascended away to Heaven He set out what they were to be doing in the future after the coming of the Spirit:

"Teaching them(the disciple-servants they have recruited) to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: . . ." (Mt. 28:20a AV).

There are some 50 well-defined commands from Jesus, and a lot more from Peter and Paul and John and Jude. Many, like the just-mentioned one, involve doing good works. Not to do then may involve chastening, but most certainly not loss of one's place in God's heaver. But you may be shy of a nice couch or luxury vehicle there. The chastening may even bring an early departure from earth than the Heavenly Father originally intended:

"Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself?  Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time? It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all" (Eccl. 7:16-18 AV).

There may not be a swimming pool, and the rooms may be kind of bare, but you'll still have a mansion there, and not swimming in the Lake of Fire. And you'll have lots of good companions. one of them being Jesus. And The Father will not be far away, either. Eh?
