The Cardinal said he would tell Biden not to approach to receive Holy Communion, out of charity toward him, because that would be a sacrilege and endanger the salvation and his own soul
ROME, Italy, September 29, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) Cardinal Raymond Burke stated that Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is not a Catholic in good standing because of his support for abortion and, consequently, he should not approach to receive Holy Communion.
I dont understand why Catholics who are involved in politics cant get this straight in their heads, but they should, said Burke during a Sept. 28 interview with Thomas McKenna of Catholic Action for Faith and Family. The Cardinal made the comment while responding to a direct question about Bidens pro-abortion activism and voting record.
Burke cautioned that he didnt intend to get involved in recommending any candidate for office, but insisted that a Catholic may not support abortion in any shape or form because it is one of the most grievous sins against human life, and has always been considered to be intrinsically evil. The cardinal called any support of abortion a mortal sin.
Without mentioning Biden by name, the former prefect of the Churchs highest court said, And the person in question has not only been actively supporting procured abortion in our country, but has announced publicly in his campaign that he intends to extend that make the practice of procured abortion available to everyone in the widest possible form, and to repeal the restrictions on this practice which have been put in place.
He would tell Biden not to approach to receive Holy Communion, out of charity toward him, because that would be a sacrilege and endanger the salvation and his own soul.

Wish he was back running the LaCrosse diocese
I don’t care about the church. Biden should be excommunicated from politics. If not the human race.
Wish he was pope.
The fix was in during the last conclave. However, my husband, priest friend and I were fully expecting him or Sarah to walk out on the loggia that day.Instead we got bergolio and the celebratory drinks we had ready quickly became elixr for our disappointment.
Wish we had more in the Catholic hierarchy that understood things the way this guy does.

No Catholic who supports the Democrat party should be eligible for communion without repenting and dropping the support. But that’s the Church’s business, not mine.

Maybe because the NJ cardinal said he felt they could?
