Yeah, what would that price be? We’re still here - we’ve survived intact as a people, with the same beliefs as our ancestors, despite all kinds of persecution and outright attempts to murder us all. Given the small size of the Jewish people, that is nothing less than miraculous - there is no other people - ever - who have an experience even remotely like that of the Jews.
Someone is looking after us, just as He promised that He would.

Oh, and if you’re talking about a spiritual price, then that price is only what you and your holy books state. You already know that Jews do not believe in your books - so I’m not exactly shaking with fear about the “price” that you are speaking about.
We Jews are no more perfect than any other people - not as individuals and not as a group. But we don’t need any other standard regarding the path to eternal salvation besides the one that has been passed down from Moses to our ancestors. The same standard, I would remind you, that my distant cousin, the carpenter, believed in to such an extent that he said that not one bit of it would change until the end of time.
