It looks kind of brownish to me. Is it the lighting?
That looks like a Rust Color to me. Does it qualify as ‘red’?
I’m not an Orthodox Jew, so I couldn’t say one way or another.

“Red” cattle are reddish brown like people with red or auburn hair.
Fun fact ... there’s a variety of Angus cattle that are all red, all the time. Same with Limousin.
The bull we used last year was solid red only he was more of a mahogany. The calves, however, have a lot of white on them.
I guess the calf can’t grow out any white hairs in its switch (long part of the tail) or have any hair whorls on its neck or shoulders that look like it might have come from a yoke because THE red heifer can’t have been used for work.
