A Catholic church in Dearborn, Michigan, has issued an apology after one of its priests compared the Black Lives Matter organization and Antifa to al-Qaeda terrorists.
“I am so sorry that a homily given by Fr. Paul Graney at the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday has brought forth division, anger, confusion and chaos,” Rev. Bob McCabe, pastor at Church of the Divine Child, said in a statement according to The Detroit News. “I first spoke with a couple individuals shortly after his homily. I could sense their anger and their hurt.”
Graney, an associate priest of the Church of Divine Child, gave a homily on Saturday that warned that the agendas of the Black Lives Matter organization and Antifa, a violent far-left group, were aimed at tearing down American order and values. Graney had compared the two groups’ intentions to those of the al-Qaeda terrorists that hijacked four planes on Sept. 11, 2001.
“And back then, in 2001, al-Qaeda came with the goal to destroy America, little by little, with acts of terror. Not all at one time, they weren’t sending a great army,” Graney said. “But in 2020, many of our own people are now out there in the streets wanting to remake America into something else by destroying what it is today. Little by little. There’s no great army, but it’s riot by riot, really.
“People have been out in our streets doing incredibly violent things in the name of justice,” Graney said. “Cars have been torched, property has been destroyed, businesses looted and burned, and police officers and other people have been intimidated, assaulted, and even murdered all in the name of justice, oftentimes the rallying cry being ‘No justice, no peace.’”
Graney’s homily was given the day after the 19th anniversary of the 9-11 terror.......

I could show about a few dozen videos where the behavior of BLM and Antifa are not any less horrid and violent than ISIS.And Isis is in lands of poverty, lack of education, food and water scarce... but the kind of animal behavior we’ve seen here in America?

This pattern is very very disturbing. A TRUTH is told then, the truth-teller is forced to withdraw the truth and apologize for telling the truth by those in positions above the truth-teller.
It is a pattern of utter cowardness and appeasement by upper echelons of management. A recent example is Drew Brees in the NFL. In his case not only did he apologize but he and his wife have gone full-blown BLM/Antifa ass kissers.
Are there no men with the guts in this country to stand up to those Marxists in this country who are not Donald Trump or members of his inner circle?
I used to wonder as a child how could the Holocaust possibly happen? How could the killing fields of Pol Pot actually happen? I’m beginning to understand.
I’m witnessing the gutless cowardness that leads up to mass murder. The beginnings of that pattern here in the USA.
The only difference I see is that BLM/Antifa hasn’t started detonating explosives larger than fireworks - yet. The cold, violent cult-like perpetual outrage is exactly the same.
Father Graney is of course correct. Not only do they act like Al Qaeda, they have worked with Al Qaeda, ISIS, the PLO, and other Islamist terrorist groups.
Radio news coverage sounded familiar going back to when the same stuff was happening in New York .Where cops were being murdered as the aftermath of Obama using the Bully Pulpit creating racial division defending resisting arrests.

The problem seems to be wimpiness.
The Catholic Church, of which I’m a member, is being destroyed from inside. The assistant pastor is 100% correct. Dearborn is 50% Muslim so clearly that factored into the head pastor’s denial of the sermon’s message.
I suggest to apologize for the apology!
... I don’t think ANTIFA/BLM cares what the church thinks about them... They are GODLESS souls - they care not for Christ or anyone else that is not like them...
These apologies only make these domestic terrorists more bold in their violent actions.
It’s not because he compared them to al quaeda. It’s because he condemned the violence in the streets perpetrated by blm and antifa.
The church SHOULD apologize...
