the only folks I see apologize for their religious leader on this board are Catholics. It’s time to stop that. So the leader is a psycho atheist. We are not and that is all that matters.

I think that’s the right mindset. I also keep going back to the back to the fact that in 2,000 years of papacy, there have been any number of bad apples. That’s just the reality of the situation. Every once in a while, by hook or crook, a knave manages to get himself elected pope. Just by chance, we happen to be living during such a time. It is what it is.
You are correct and I immediately noticed that after I posted. A better way to put it, I am embarrassed by Francis and I spend too much time defending my religion. I shouldn't feel compelled to do that, but I don't want people to think I see eye to eye with everything Francis says.
