I think the more important distinction is that sisters/nuns do not receive the sacrament of holy orders, they are not “ordained” in any way, and have neither its privileges or obligations.

Sister Dede Byrne is instantly recognizable as a deeply devout, sincere Catholic nun. She has clearly dedicated her life to serving God.
The ONLY way anyone would realize "Sister" Simone is a "nun" is she constantly goes around in public SAYING so, in order to use it to further whatever leftist political issue she's talking about. If you look at any photo of her, she looks like any other hard-left feminazi. She's fit right in with Ruth Bader Ginsburg, for example.
She represents the true Church. The other one, of Sister Simone and Fr. Martin, is destroying itself.
I was incorrect in that Simone obviously “worked” before her becoming a “nun”, though it seems rather obvious given her clothing that she didn’t take a vow of poverty. More typical of the hypocrisy of the left.
Of course, given her radical personal ideology, which is antithetical to the Word of God, she is no more a “Catholic nun” than most of those claiming Jewish heritage in Hollyweird are actual Jews.
Yep, Simone is a “Catholic nun” the same way Bernie Sanders is a “Jew” ... on paper only.
