Didn’t God give us free will?

“God’s passion for His glory takes priority over the salvation of everyone”

So God’s a narcissist who’s good with eternal damnation for anyone who doesn’t grovel to him/her/it?

Got it.

Maybe Mr. Grins can go back to selling used buffalo hides rather then peddling BS.

I’m not seeing the premise in the Bible. In fact, there is a guy up in the Himalayan mountains right now who will never hear the Gospel. There are millions like him, and have been billions more throughout history.

Not everyone is appointed for salvation.

He wants people to come to Him of their own free will.
He does not force Himself upon anybody.

Free Will and Irresistible Grace don’t match up. When Jesus told people to repent, he wasn’t making some repent while preventing others from doing so.

There really isn’t any big puzzle over why God doesn’t save everyone. He has chosen to give people a choice because he wants willing sons, not zombies. He’s made the offer but many CHOOSE to reject it.

An atheist friend of mine asked me why can’t all people go to Heaven. I answered “Why would you want to spend eternity in the presence of God when you’ve spent your life denying that God exists.

Romans 1:18-24

18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

The answer is in G-d’s relationship with each person, beginning with Adam - he did not create an automaton, he gave humans free choice. While G-d desires that all humans choose G-d, He wants more only those that choose G-d. It is as basic as that.

G-d’s great plan/purpose in THAT? We should not propose/pretend to know the mind of G-d.

Define “being saved” by your actions

Actually you don’t get it. God is perfection, you and I are not perfection. His perfection means the imperfect cannot be in His presence. His glory is there whether we are with Him or not. Narcissist? Seriously? This is what you apply because you put God on a human level. Its your choice to do so but it does not change Who and What God is to us. His extension of grace to us is the gift of all gifts, a priceless and eternal one. If in arrogance we reject God’s gift we cannot be in His presence. He made a way, it cost Him His own Son’s life but His glory had His Son rising again. Its not hard to see the reason and the logic but it’s hardly narcissism.

There are not only two options.

Love is not love unless it’s freely given.

God does not force anyone into believing.

He could, but He doesn’t.

He has chosen to leave the final decision up to us.

free will vs determinism

free will

God did not put any of us on the planet to fail.

however, many do, through their choices.

If any one has the power to deny the will of God, they thwart the will of the Creator of the universe. Actual free will defeats both Gods' omniscience and his omnipotence. Arminianism is works righteousness heresy.
