A traditional priest, sans facemask and rubber gloves, doing what all Catholic priests should be doing during the scamdemic: administer the sacraments to the faithful.

National Catholic Register not National Cath. Reporter. It’s EWTN

It’s like Mark Levin (Register) v The New York Times (Reporter)

Good story. Some priests, Fr George Rutler, namely, ran TO the burning Twin Towers on 9/11 in order to give last rites. Getting people to heaven is one of those things.

I get the FSSP shout out.... but the Reporter? That’s a strange bedfellow....

Thanks, I had missed the autocorrect. I would never expect the fishwrap to report this.

That picture looks like it could be a still image from a movie.

Could you please change the source from National Catholic Reporter to the correct source, National Catholic Register?

This happened while on my way home from work.
So sad anyone perished, but an uplifting young Catholic priest story, and his dedication to the Lord!!

Father Rutler gave a general absolution to a large group of firefighters before they entered the WTC (and subsequently died in the collapse of the tower).

I think it's a safe bet that there are those who were saved from Hell that morning for no other reason than because they were offered the opportunity to take a knee in penance and receive that absolution.

It’s not the National Catholic Distorter. National Catholic Register.
The Distorter is an enemy of orthodoxy and especially the Tridentine Mass.

Are there any pictures of this event (or the participants)?

This would be a worthy subject for a painting of the event (if it hasn’t already been memorialized).

The Devil hates prayers in Latin and Greek.
