well actually...the delay was requested by American Bishops (read USCCB - notably one in NYz0- for whatever reason wanting more "investigation".... easy delay tactic

Now you may be right in the end, but Pope Francis has gotten the chance yet to turn it down... he did canonize John Henry Cdl. Newman last year as well…. so … we always hope for the best....
