My friend, the Jerusalem of today is based on Aelia Capitolina

Jesus prophesied that the generation who was with him in 30 AD would live to see the destruction of the temple and of Jerusalem - and that happened in 69 AD

The 2nd temple Jerusalem was so utterly destroyed that Josephus said it was pure rubble with no inhabitants until Hadrian built his colonia aelia capitolina

The very term "Church age" is based on a ton of error... no offence, but the rapture new concept is just like the Raellian concept

Jesus founded the Kingdom of God during His first advent

The book of Daniel ends with Jesus as the rock that destroys the romaoi empire and then the Christianity community covers the earth

Rapturists make a biblically false - a preposterously large time miscalculation by saying "Church age" - whereas in reality we are living since 69 AD in the Kingdom of God's age - with Christ as the living temple.

Daniel asks God for a time line fo the events leading up to the Messiah's coming kingdom and God reveals it as 600 years approximately from Daniel's time --> THAT IS UNTIL THE TIME OF JESUS, when the prophecies of Daniel end witht he coming of the Messiah and His kingdom

Darby like John Smith looked for some way to get people to follow Darby

Daniel 7:25 talks of Nero, it even accurately predicts the death of Nero in 68 AD

Daniel in 7:13-14 talks of the Son of Man whose dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away and His Kingdom one that shall not be destroyed

He is talking of Jesus Kingdom of God<>Jesus in Matthew 26 told the men "I tell you, hereafter you WILL see the Son of man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heave (Matt 26:64)

Luke's Gospel is proof that the prophecy of Daniel was accomplished at the time when Jerusalem was overthrown

Our solutions cannot keep up with the EXPONENTIAL seeds of national and global rot.

you think this is a bad time? When Christianity is spreading in AFrica, in China, in India, even Iran?

you think the rot is worse now than in the bloodlands of 1939 to 1945

You think this is better than in 1453 with Islam conquering the 2nd Rome?

you think this is better than in the 700s with Islam in Jerusalem,in Spain and to the gates of constantinople and carrying out raids on Rome and at the same time heathen Vikings and Magyar destroying churches and murdering and raping?

There is no, zero mention of the American continents in the Bible.

Well thanks for the tip. I should stay home then and just agree with what someone else says.

Supposedly there's no mention of Null Island either, even though it pops up all over the map. Besides, I can look right outside my windows to see my own little slice of the North American continent and beyond. That's just the plain truth. Truth *is* the Word of God.

The Bible is the "go to" book used by certain religious types to prove all sorts of things that aren't true. This one to this consensus, that one to that consensus... abject contradictions, but with the many clever debate tactics for each party line, and enough copycat/paste jobs and verses shoveled into parentheses like the People of WalMart into spandex... every expert has the God's honest truth while everyone else is wrong.

Few ever catch on that their table is a snare.

A funny thing happened on the way to Null Island, because every Hebrew letter is a number, an address so to speak:

Null Island [נאל איילנד] = 186 = makom [מקום], place.

Null Island is the place of 'Soul' buoy, because as usual, the God of Abraham (the God of the living) got to the place first and left His prints, His signature. It's like when a family moves into a new house, and the wife immediately sets out to give it that certain woman's touch, her personal accent and style in order to turn that house into a home.

0°N 0°E: the location (makom, place) used by mapping systems to trap errors.

Handy!

"It isn't every day somebody moves into a new house." ~ Aunt Bethany

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Funny how that very "no mention of" argument is argued against, when it's a matter of defending the trinity doctrine.

Meanwhile,

1 + 1 + 1 = 1, said no actual carpenter ever. That kind of math isn't even good enough for government work.

On the Trinity you are false - there is mention of the Trinity in the Bible - a clear one at Jesus baptism. And in addition in the book of Genesis - with the spirit of God across the waters.

You post a lot of twisted Scripture, Iggy... no offense

1 Cor 14:38 seem apt for the fake 19th century concept of the pre-Trib secret rapture - “But if any man know not, he shall not be known. “ —> The scripture would advise you to stay away from that 19th century Darbyism

A couple of weeks ago in Bible Study our pastor was asked about the Rapture. He brought up the following verses:

From Matthew 24: 36 - 44

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away.

That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

His first question was something like “So back in Noah’s day, what people does the word “took” refer to? And what happened to those people?

Now - in the second passage, who does the word “taken” - same meaning as the word “took” in Genesis - refer to? And what will happen to those people?

Wonder what that ‘deception’ is that Christ first warned would take place? Christ never once warned to be ready for a ‘rapture’... Christ said Mark 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. Yet I have yet to find one, that holds to the rapture doctrine that has a clue who the literal ‘instead-of- Jesus’ is.

Christians were warned of the ‘fly away doctrine’ back in Ezekiel... 13 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the Lord;

3 Thus saith the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

4 O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.

5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord.

6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

7 Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The Lord saith it; albeit I have not spoken?

8 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord God.

9 And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord God.

10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:

11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.

12 Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?

13 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.

14 So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

15 Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;

16 To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord God.

17 Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,

18 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?

19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?

20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

21 Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

22 Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

23 Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Matthew 24 and 25 - the Olivet discourse was critical for those listening to Him then - it was Jesus' prophecy
They will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of Heeaven with power and great glory... Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all these things take place"
Note: "this generation" - namely the ones listening to him in c 30 AD.

And Jesus was right - what He prophesied in c 30 AD happened in 69 AD with the destruction of the temple

To add emphasis, Jesus continued "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away" 24:35

Jesus meant EXACTLY what He meant in Matthew 24.

The exact phrase "this generation" is used 20 times int he new testament. Without exception, it always refers to the people who were alive, listening to the speaker

In fact, Jesus uses this same word just a few verses before the Olivet discourse in Matt 23:36 "Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation."

In the chapter 24, he continually uses the second person you -- He obviously meant the generation of those hearing Him

You can also take Mark 13:9 You will be beaten in synagogues -- this is emphasising the time and place as 1st century in the eastern Mediterranean

in Matt 24:17-20 he talks about fleeing - as the Christians did to Pellas in 68 ad

We learn that Christ's second advent will be sudden, no preceding warning. The return of Christ will be very public and unmistakeable --No secret rapture and Christ will draw to Himself those who are His

======================

And what does Matt 24:40 "one is taken, and one is left" and Matt 24:41 "one is taken and one is left" mean?

Jesus does NOT mean one of these people will be left behind. Jesus is speaking here of the second coming that will usher in eternity. It will be impossible to be left behind, because hte world will come to an end

No, Jesus is saying they will be left out of His eternal Kingdom when He returns

The Gospel account uses the Greek verb aphiemi , which has the meaning of "left alone" or "sent away" -- but Jesus is not using apoleipo which means "left behind" - so no leaving behind

The context of Jesus' discourse is even more strongly AGAINST the rapturist understanding of being left behind -- because Jesus proceeds with 3 parables.

In the second parable we see that hte only reasonable understanding of Jesus' meaning is not "left behind" but "left out" -- left out of the eternal marriage feast of the Lamb that is the Christ

Christ's Kingdom is spiritual

the first parable is of two servants -- in this Jesus is alluding to the final judgement of all humankind -- note the "final judgement" - after this is eternity. unfortunately for the rapturist, Jesus does not mention any hint of a seven-year tribulation of a Millenium after this coming. All that remains is either eternal bliss or eternal damnation

parable of ten maidens - the Church waiting for the second coming. The mention of the marriage feast is about eternity -- the joy at the wedding reception is analogous to the joy of heaven

This parable substantiates that Jesus meant "left out of the eternal Kingdom" NOT left behind as rapturinos claim. Two women together - one taken into the marriage feast, the other left OUT

The third parable about 3 servants is that our talents are God given and He expects us to use them for Him. In this story, Jesus specifically tells us that hte Master did not return for "a long time"

=============

The three parables are completed by Matthew 25:30 where Jesus ends His discourse by giving His disciples more details about the Final Judgement - and He makes it clear (as we see even more in Luke) that hte Olivet discourse is about the destruction of the Temple AND the final judgement as two distinct events - the destruction of the temple, as seen in the book of the Apocalypse is in 69 AD with the destruction of the new Babylon - the 2nd temple Jerusalem, the city that "crucified their Lord"

There is NO secret rapture preceding a seven-year Great Tribulation; indeed the Great Tribulation Jesus predicts in the first half of the discourse has already come to pass with the destruction of the 2nd temple and the ushering in of Christ's Kingdom

The MARK of the beast was the worship of the emperor Nero. People took that and died. Instead one must take the sign of Christ - the cross

This is key - the Devil had 42 months, 3.5 years during the destruction of the 2nd temple to run amok

Cronos, tell MHGinTN that the Antichrist is already here and that he missed the secret rapture (because it’s not going to happen). BTW, you are wrong about the above time period.
