That’s pretty much how I see it. Ezekiel 38 precedes the 7-year Tribulation. Though I can’t say by how much.
Yes, Armageddon (as it is often called) i.e. the Second Coming of Christ to Earth is at the end of those 7 years.

A lot of Prophecy teachers believe Ezekiel 38-39 will happen post-rapture. I’m still debating when Isaiah 17:1 happens? During that Ezekiel war? Does it trigger that war (along with the rapture?)? What would make Gog have that evil thought for spoil? The Russian economy is total decline right now as we speak.
And also, take a look at the forces involved currently in Libya for that power grab. Ancient Put is Libya - mentioned in the Ezekiel coalition, but you probably knew that.
